Number of vtc i have sold-

Zero.

Number i will be selling below $50

Zero.

MINE AND HOLD ! THIS IS VERTCOIN ! WE ARE VERTANS !  Grin

Qbit I. Want a VTCT-shirt. But make them bad ass t shirts. I only wear bad ass t shirts so set the bar high.

And i mean that the above, you can sit on your hands and enjoy the ride or step off and miss the train. Your call but won't be another train for a long while. Big picture.

Hey Balls,

Before you get to involved thinking about the designs or your new bad ass tshirt, riddle me this.
Is there something I am missing about this coin?  With every other coin I am able to sell high and buy low in order to get more coins. Is that not possible with this coin?

You may be missing this-

No other coin has anything like this distribution. Look at butcoin, 1,100 people own 43% of bitcoin.

Pardon my french but fuck that. Thats a central bank in utero. That is what bitcoin was not supposed to be

Now that pic is a few days old but you can see the distribution. Largest holder was 40,000 coins and i am pretty sure that is one of my people. He is holding.

Now compare that to the basillion premine pump and dump or the asic  mega pool mine and dump. Vertcoin has neither. Those 19 are holding or most of them. From there you get a fight for what little is on the market.

You can actually watch the block chain. A big takedown happened a couple hours ago (luck i assume) and three big blocks the price dropped. Soon as those were sold (by miners who might think about holding a bit for fun but no matter) the price broke right back over .01 and firm bid.  That is how tight this market is. There is no one to dump supply. Difficulty has gone from 22 to 78 in two days and change  but coinage has only grown buy a couple hundred thousand. Doge loses that many in an hour.

Kgw limits drag and smoothes supply and demand constantly. So no burn and turn pools coming in arb the price. They have to retool for vtc and difficulty adjusts the moment they do.

This coin is dialed and it will take out litcoin because it is what litecoin tried to be.  And it will turn its sights on mama B from there. Mark my words, buy them and lock them away until we are chasing down number one with the field in the rearview mirror

42nd place to 12th place market cap in 3 days and only 1.4 million mined.

Story has only just begun.

Looks like the data I posted a few days ago, here is newer data

You can't even imagine what will happen with VTC exchange rate at the time scrypt ASICs appear on the cryptocoin market in the late Feb - early March. All graphics cards holders will start mining VTC. 100x more computational power will be needed to get a coin. These 1024 guys (actually less because there is not 1:1 address to person match) who hold 100-999 VTCs are definitelly going to become rich. These 238 guys who hold 1000-9999 are going to become very rich. These 19 guys who hold >10000... I wish I was on of you Smiley

Do not sell your coins guys. The story has just begun!

Yes, and Mr 80MH/s on my pool will be mining 10 VTC/day at that point instead of 1000/day currently. VTC isn't going anywhere, it's here to stay now, and it's going to change the landscape.

Agree with this analysis..

Relative comparisons with other currencies: there's just no reason this coin won't match , or go higher than them.  As long as the word spreads, people know about it.  It will just keep going up.  There's just not enough selling pressure.. critical mass has been achieved.. will just go viral from here.

Somehow vertcoin just has the perfect balance in this market...

OK Bitcrush hashrate seems to be dropping back to around 30% of nethash.

Please still consider moving to p2pool if you are mining at bitcrush. I'm sure they are an excellent pool, but this hassle every time they approach 50% is tiresome. I am glad they've disabled reg this time - it is good to see pool owners behaving responsibly like that, and in the end, it's good for their own pocket too - the more distributed and secure the network is, the more VTC is free to climb in value as confidence continues to grow.

I wish they'd use this (if anyone knows the bitcrush admin, PLEASE, pass this on):

UPDATE FOR POOL OWNERS

I modded the script so it automatically anounces on your pools MOTD that registrations have been closed temporarily, and why.

http://pastebin.com/ZGjD3HXu

Put this in your scripts folder in MPOS as 51_percent_check.php owned by root:root and chmod'd 755 then "sudo crontab -e" and add a line:

* * * * * php /var/www/MPOS/scripts/51_percent_check.php

Now your pool will automatically close and reopen registrations depending on your share of the network hashrate, no more having to keep checking on it!

Also, add a line to /var/www/MPOS/.gitignore like:

/scripts/51_percent_check.php

So that git won't pull down updates over the top of it, with the original version (which doesn't update the MOTD, and only closes reg once you've already 51%'d the network)

Someone better at php (and more patient Wink might want to improve it by building in some hysteresis so it doesn't keep closing/reopening every minute when it's right around 40% Huh If you do, please post it, I'd like to do that but I don't have the time to hack that together right now, but this ought to at least do the job in a quick and dirty way.

Yes, the next stage I feel (apart from some exciting things I hear murmurings about in the dev group, when I'm not too busy fighting spotty teenagers DDoSing my pool) is to scale up our outreach and publicity work, to tell the ordinary investor who has only just heard of Bitcoin in the last months why Vertcoin is an excellent investment and what it brings to the table. We need to communicate that to people who don't mine, don't know what a blockchain is, and think Kimotos Gravity Well is somewhere near the centre of the galaxy.

Thanks bengtake it was yours i would have given credit but forgot where i snapped the pick from.

Let me be very clear for those who may not grasp that. There are only 1.4 million coined. So those top holders are stuck at that size. They will be incrementally smaller percentage of total as coinage increases.

Very important as it is what bitcoin would have been with proper adaptation. In a few months the top 26% 19 people will be half that (unless they want to pay out the nose for more).

So we have true distributed peer to peer for the FIRST time in Vertcoin.

Thanks for the new numbers the growth in new wallets is awesome!

Yeah, why not? I was talking to a guy last night with 60.

120MH on this though is much more than 100. An R9 290 does about 400KH, so it's 300+ GPUs, still, not a big investment really in the grand scheme of things - maybe $150k worth of hardware, plus unless you were already based there you'd have to rent some space with good power and HVAC, but it's small potatoes in the investments game.

Thankyou, but credit where it is due - I just got involved after the launch and help out where I can. Vertcoin himself is the creator of this thing, and deserves to feel very proud of what he's created.

Yes, but blimey dude 30x price rise lets not throw gas on the campfire all at once. I have had a line out my door new buyers and lost a few who got spooked at how much it moved while they were trying to get their cash together. No matter but know the new buyers are coming and the word is getting out. 6k wallets extrapolates nicely over a month. Media frenzy coming soon. i will toss a little gas on that but I would honestly be ok if the ascent slowed a touch.

Nah. Lets rock it.
