OK we want this coin to be the best, can we brainstorm some ideas?
i see there is a lot of people willing to work to make this happen.

I know something you don't...

I was already going to tell you all to hold this coin, but this time I mean it - don't tell me I didn't warn you all.

That's the last I'm saying.  Cool

care to shed some light as my portfolio is getting eaten by this coin as its starting to tank, need some faith right now...

kgw will save the coin.

low price and miners lose interest -> great, diff decreases immediately.

i would love to see diff back at 9.

Yeah. price is down to a third of what it was 2 days ago. I wouldnt be surprised if major dumps start occuring. RIP VTC.

lol idiots Cheesy yea gogo everyone sell  i will laugh at you in a week..

Every successful coin experiences pump and dump... But you know, if they sold the coins, that means someone bought them! And those people who invested won't let the coin die! MINE, BUY AND HOLD GUYS!

Anyone having a decent explanation as to why the price is going down?

I don't really mind since I'm here for long term, but I'd like to try and understand why, since there is not many big addresses that could play with the price, and the gravity well supposedly keeps us from being hit hard by multi pools.
Any idea?

I think people(non-miners) who got excited and bought at 0,010 - 0,015 range just lost 60% of their investment and are panick selling  to not loose the other 40%. Obviously, there is more than one such individual. I expect the price to go back to 0,01 within a month, and higher when ASICs begin showing up. Thats when people will really start paying attention to this coin. Until then, its just all of us on the Vert train. Im not selling. Hell no. Also. There will be a story in FORBES next week on the best cryptos to watch in 2014.

its just bitcoin, it dropped 25% yesterday (guessing you noticed but..you are asking). Fear grip the market and not ideal mood for a record setting coin to push north of ten bucks inside of three weeks. Blame Gox, as soon as btc and ltc get a little rally off the lows (if they do) vtc will go back and retest at least the top of the range. That was a superfast recovery we just saw, there was hardly any volume. It was some profit taking and a lot of fear selling. We see a 750 print on btc with ltc back into 19 handle and spec money will come back to vert. We have their attention, now we need the needle to shift from fear back to greed and we will run higher. (Sorry it's spec logic I know it isn't pretty but it's real).

Kinda funny the gloating trolls marked the bottom almost to the minute.

Always be a contrarian is you are able. It's money. There's only a 1% for a reason.

Good morning Verters,

I hope you slept through the drawdown. BTC putting a floor in around 720 (gox has finally lost all of its hostage premium and is trading below bitstamp). Vert had a nice vertical bounce  of around 20% in a few minutes, a very thin volume decline retested prior lows and held firm. Provided any followthrough on bitcoin stability we may see a relief rally into .007 territory.

Very tough climate the last couple days. Short term who knows, long term the market loves this coin. Don't doubt that, there is nowhere else for spec money to go.

Like 3am yankee time on a saturday morning is a good time for exagggerated moves, a 50mb spread in the wall at crypled and buy wall at coinedup (which is running MUCH better thanks to whomever) is 44B which is lowest I have seen it all week. Nonetheless there has been very little selling volume, a few 2BTC lots here and there.

Nethashrate dropped from 5+gh/s few days ago to 3,5gh/s at the moment, more vtc being mined, gox bullshit, so the price is falling..that's simple as that...I sold most of my vtc for 0,013 and I'm slowly think about buyng back, but as long as nethashrate is dropping we won't see any upward movement due too many generated coins going straight to market..

p.s. nethashrate stabilized since yesterday in 3,5gh/s range...if it's stay like that for next couple of days it would be good to start buying vtc again.
