From my understanding, the memory is already on the GPU itself. All the work is suposto be done on the GPU. That's why I can run the X1 PCIe slots, it's not transfering anything to/from the GPU other than some key values between the pool and the GPU.
Why would you need any host-side memory other than to run the OS and the small footprint needed by the mining software?
I thought the same way, but it's simply not the case...you need to load stuff on the computer's ram first it seems before loading the gpu vram. Wish I had more btc to buy vert atm  |

I might have missed it somewhere in the 499 pages lol, but for real if i did someone point me to the right page or just tell me what happened to vertpay is it still on or is it dead or stalled?

Vertpay is dead/stalled(?). Long story short is that there was some controversy regarding the ipo structure and other things and it was decided to leave the project for the time being. In a post=gox world, crowdfunding projects seem to be more controversial than they were late last year. Vertpay was a good idea, we will see what happens with it some time in the near future. |

Vertpay is dead/stalled(?). Long story short is that there was some controversy regarding the ipo structure and other things and it was decided to leave the project for the time being. Vertpay was a good idea, we will see what happens with it some time in the near future. im really sad to hear that seemed like it would have been good but you are right about the gox issue seems to have impacted everything. |

The guys behind Vertpay went out on a limb to see if they could get funding for a Vertcoin-only version of their payment service. After a severe moderator endorsed FUD-campaign/community backlash on Reddit, they decided that it wasn't going to happen. And that they'd better to follow their original idea of having a multi-coin payment service, rather than a single coin service. So Vertpay as a Vertcoin only payment service is no more, the service will be called Paybee afaik (Vertcoin should be one of the supported coins). I was going to say what you just said and I did but then deleted the comment, I wasn't sure if they wanted the existence of paybee out yet until they finished the software for it but since you said it I'll back you up. I actually bought 200 shares of paybee so i'm happy  |
