The guys behind Vertpay went out on a limb to see if they could get funding for a Vertcoin-only version of their payment service. After a severe moderator endorsed FUD-campaign/community backlash on Reddit, they decided that it wasn't going to happen. And that they'd better to follow their original idea of having a multi-coin payment service, rather than a single coin service. So Vertpay as a Vertcoin only payment service is no more, the service will be called Paybee afaik (Vertcoin should be one of the supported coins).
Disclaimer: This is entirely their decision, and I had nothing to do with it.
I was going to say what you just said and I did but then deleted the comment, I wasn't sure if they wanted the existence of paybee out yet until they finished the software for it but since you said it I'll back you up. I actually bought 200 shares of paybee so i'm happy where can you buy the paybee shares??

Is this risk below related also to stealth vertcoin addresses? "Secondly, the key feature of DRK, anonymity, is also its greatest weakness for going mainstream. You have seen how hostile governments have been to just Bitcoin, which transactions can be traced in. Now imagine DRK popping up into the mainstream, do you think governments will sit idle and let businesses accept it? Some might, others will clamp down even harder than they did with Bitcoin. Countries that are friendly to Bitcoin now might not be friendly to a coin that has money laundering built right into it. Yes, a government can't stop the protocol, but they can stop businesses from accepting it by making the use illegal. Most likely, this would not be hard to achieve as they could simply make the argument the main use of the coin is for money laundering. If they made it illegal, it won't stop it being used on the black markets, but it will stop it from ever going mainstream because everyday businesses simply aren't going to break the law to allow a new payment method. So its growth potential would probably be limited to the black market. I don't think you would ever see Amazon or any big company using it, because of the backlash and the government crackdowns. This is something that a lot of people don't realize I think. They think "hahahah government can't stop me". No, they can't, but they can stop the coin from ever reaching a mainstream audience. Litecoin has a good rep. Its the oldest alt coin still around. Yes, the technology of DRK is far superior, but it won't really matter if the government(s) never allow it to be used to purchase everyday things. Bitcoin and Litecoin are just starting to be viewed favorably in some countries, things like DRK will not help cryptocurrency as a whole because then it gives government a reason to crackdown." https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=19819.msg173311#msg173311

Stealth addresses are different - they give some privacy, but all the transactions are still there in public sight on the blockchain - there's a record of the transactions that have taken place, and nothing becomes truly untraceable, but they do provide decent privacy akin to what you expect from the banking system - ie. everyone else can't view all your transactions and link them easily to you. The other benefit is, all the usual blockchain tools work, and you don't lose all those nice features as a result of anonymising a lot of transactions.

The reason why price is going down and down is because there are basically no buy orders. That's why it keeps dropping so fast.
Instead of buying at market people should just add bids .

Thank you for your clarification. And I have one thought here - so short, common story then: There is a woman. She has a man - a right, good man... And the only reason cause her completely unhappy - is the fact, that this man is not used to repeat ten times per day: "I love you so much, my sweetest darling!" And I see this syndrome here...

under 2$, in fact But LTC/BTC didn't really budge until the end if you look at the charts, and even then it peaked for a moment before coming back down to 0.03BTC/LTC. Much of the run up from $1 up to the current price duringApril 2013 till Nov 2013 was because price of BTC went up.

I see the momentary decline in price only related to DRK. I myself did a lot of research over the last three months and i endend in two coins. DRK and VTC. I think a lot of people also were on the same track and as now for the moment DRK made the game a lot of VTC were sold for DRK. As i tanked DRK on low levels i did not sold any VTC for DRK and only watch the game on the sideline and still have my VTC.
As BTC is the uptrend and LTC in the downtrend it looks like LTC with all the Asic miners going for ROI it´s time for me to say goodby LTC. I already bought another 500 VTC the last days for LTC.
