Ohhh, slander, intrigue, lies & collusion! Aiz like, dis just like Days of Our Lives!

Personally, I'd much rather back Coino if its the brainchild of a 12 year old kid than a marketing company. Wink Fresh ideas, nothing tew loose!

With all the slander, lies and intrigue going on, holding the audiences attention, Coin(O) CAN'T possibly fail.... Well, maybe we should add a bit of sex, drugs and murder, then we'll pretty much have the whole spectrum covered Smiley

Hi,

Thanks, we changed the Thread Titel.

The Est. Next Difficulty is an error from the Pool. We cant make nothing, the Pool owner needs to change it.

I personally hold xx,xxx amount of coino and have been mining and buying it since launch day. I have NO PLANS on dumping and neither should anyone else. This is a strong, hold-it-long-term type of coin. I truly believe in this particular coin because of the great dev team, the growing community behind it, and the awesome specifications of the coin, with it being a very fast coin.

I honestly believe this coin will displace Litecoin as the predominant "silver to Bitcoin's gold" coin of the future. Litecoin is still a slow coin and there has been a steady decline in its value since the spike last year, probably because coins like coino have come out and prove a much better model.

With the fundamentals of coino being good, there is no reason to believe the devs are out to make a "quick buck" or the top players in this coin (like myself) out to hoard then dump them as soon as it hits cryptsy. I personally plan on selling NO MORE than 10% of my coino holdings and keeping the rest super long term (PM me in 5 years and I will guarantee you I will still have a large holding of coino at that time). Way too many short-sighted people around here, especially with all the meme/celebrity/gimmicky altcoins flooding the market in recent weeks. It's nice to finally have a real, solid, professional coin.

Keep up the great work, coino.org.

Thats not very nice to come on here and slander them, I'm sure dedicatedpool is great but I would also think the admin over there wouldn't approve of this sort of promotion of his pool. Another pool offering "tons of features, great speed, reliability" doesnt mean they ripped anyone off. There is enough hash to go around and having more pools is a good thing for Coino.  In addition to the coin dev, the pool admins play a big part in the promotion of the coin and this just means one more person that will be working hard to get people to participate.

Well I'm just stating facts here. I'm sure hash.so has a nice sized user base and yes I concur it's good for coino and the rest of the altcoin world to have many, many pools. However, I completely disagree with hash.so's business model of blatantly ripping off dedicated pool. Everytime Ryan (binaryclock) does a feature or change, hash.so follows suit and it's been that way for months now. It's really lame and hash.so needs to wake up and be ORIGINAL for once. That drop-down, coin switching tool by the way? Ryan thought of that first, talked about it in the channel (when he probably should not have), and presto, hash.so has that feature. Nice...

And Microsoft NEVER ripped off Apple... And Apple NEVER ripped off Xerox... And Samsung NEVER ripped off Apple either !!!!

I'm sorry, I don't get your point here. If Ryan talked about a feature in a thread he developed and never copy righted or patented (US Only here), then where is the problem ?
I haven't seen ANY complaints from Dedicatedpool that indicated he's pissed about it...

If it's a good pool, join it. If you don't like the pool, pick another one. As people have been saying for ages on this thread, the more the merrier, share the hash man (not in a hippey get up kind of way)

Basically, pick a pool you like, sit back, relax with a beer and enjoy the experience that coin(O) is Smiley

I can't argue that he did or did not get the idea from Ryan but there are some things to consider:

1. Both website domains are the same age
2. Google indexed hash.io with the text about the coin switching 5 days after both domains were registered (not sure where that aligns with the IRC chat)
3. Coin switching has been around longer than both pools
4. Nobody that is using MPOS to run their pool can say that they didn't take from somewhere else.

If people are taking ideas from your pool admin, just be proud that hes doing such a good job that people want to copy him. It is certainly not hurting his success; his pools are doing very well.

While we are on the subject of copying dedicatedpool, this one does look like it did a little copying. http://altcoinpool.org/

Some of the text in the MOTD box looks like it was straight up copied and pasted.  Particularly the line about IRC. Its exact except the coin name.
