Btw guys, is this a good idea?

Buy a red fury (2.6gh/s, sha-256) --> mine some sha-256 coins --> exchange them into Coino

Is it profitable? I would buy it on http://bitcoin-world.net for 0.05 BTC.

Greetings, DDerTyp

Not at all, don't do it! You would be much better off taking that money and buying a cheap video card.

Some perspective: With my one 1.17 Mh/s rig (1170 kilo hashes/s) I usually get in the ballpark of 500-800 coins daily.
With 9x 0.333 Mh/s ASICminer USB Block Erupters (so 3.0 Gigahash/s total) I made about 0.05 BTC in around 2 months. I was very lucky to make my money back. 0.05 BTC is 2500 Coino at 0.00002 BTC. Less than a week mining scrypt coins net me over 2 months worth of SHA256 mining. no matter how you break it down that is bad. SHA256 mining is for the big guns and hobbyists now.

You will be lucky to make your 0.05 BTC back in a few months. Might be 6 months, or 9, or never with the current difficulty though...

I hate those things... What will coinmarket.io do with these guys? Will they do something with her/him?

I don't know. maybe if we talk about it in their support thread

Thank you! I think you are right... Do you think that some scrypt USB Miner will appear in a few months? With a good hashrate about 1-2Mh/s?

Greetings, DDerTyp

is coino ded?  discuss.

Are you dead ?

If not then coino is fine Smiley

exactly now is the best time to mine coino... really low difficult-level :-D it is really fun if I am watching my coino volume going up^^

But I don't think it will be a quick win - it is more a long-term investment Wink

I was never thought that average sign in shool Sad

It is only used in German-speaking countries.

Elsewhere it is an x with a bar above it or a =  with ~ above it.

No. That's approximately.

The point is I worked in GERMANY for 8 years with some seriously  educated people and they wouldn't even know what the mathematical average sign was.

Youre right, it does mean approximate. Or congruent in the case of triangles in geometry.  The average symbol is the xbar.

Does it have to be a single character?  What about just using (O) since it has already been marketed anyway?

Yep it could be.

I have been using this for Coin(O) since day 1.

No reason a currency symbol has to be a single character, and (O) is actually easier for people to type at the keyboard rather than an ALT key sequence

And this would probably be more acceptable to the German average crowd Smiley

Reminder for everyone to vote on these exchanges.
https://www.mintpal.com/voting
http://www.allcrypt.com/beta/voting.php

We are doing good on MintPal; bribe if you must. Being stuck on few exchanges makes it easier for market manipulators to hurt the coin.

There's also the Cryptsy petition.

Getting the coin listed in Mintpal can be game changing, lets vote!

Also, a new cloud mining platform has opened its doors, first 10000 members get 0.01 free bitcoin.

Here is another idea for a currency symbol for coino Smiley

Chinese...

快 (kuai / kuài)

Meaning :
fast, swift, swiftness, sharp, to be satisfied,
quick, rapid, rapidness, to hurry up

The meaning behind it fits but I personally can't tell one Chinese symbol from another.  I'm not sure how big the Chinese community is with Coino but I would guess that most people will have an easier time with Latin characters.

It was a tongue in cheek moment Smiley

But still, if there are any Chinese speakers in the Coin(O) community willing to translate a few things into Chinese I recon we could do pretty well...

I've been saying this. Translating would go a long way. I'm sure we could get someone to do it for like $15 if someone won't do it for free Tongue There are places like fiverr etc that are ideal for small jobs like this.

Another dying coin Sad

I wouldn't say so. It has a very strong following and userbase. Just because it isn't gaining value at the 2 Extremely low volume beta exchanges it's on...

If you haven't noticed the cryptocurrency world has been getting rocked lately. Basically every altcoin has been going through rough times. Even the main coins, LTC, BTC.

spreading FUD is only going to make the attack worse

Hey, if the Coin(O) devs want to put together a little promotion pack to translate I'll pay the money to get it done Smiley
