And how did this 'decentralized' voting mechanism get a higher priority than masternode blinding? That's concerning for a couple reasons. The first being the horrendous and suspicious launch circumstances of the coin and the resulting awful coin distribution, limiting the privacy capabilities of the coin, but also that these large holders basically can change the path of the coin if just two or three of them decide to make a change using the voting system under the pretense of 'community consensus'. Also concerning is that the first couple initiatives passed are to put even more coins in the hands of the few, and then to create the OTC system allowing them to unload them without (hopefully) wrecking their sell price.

I happily donated 30 drk (around $90 usd at the time) towards the video initiative before the unilateral name change nonsense, when the coin was still privacy centric. But then the tiny group of decision makers decided to change the name and purpose of the coin shortly afterwards, as well as decide to completely change the goal of what the video was to accomplish. Anyways, I'd be curious to see where my money went to, even if I don't believe in this project anymore. Has vid been completed?

Dash is privacy centric (but not only) as it's never been before!

Decentralized governance and budgeting make this coin more independent and protected on strategic level from "third parties interference" than all "blinding", "ring-signatures" and so on all together! Dash is the only cryptocurrency now that can't be "easily switched off" in "Bitcoin-centralized-development-style".

While you are waiting for Dash official video (it is about ready), you can enjoy unofficial one:

What's the best definition for describe a superblocks ?

This is the best i could come up with
Superblocks were created to work on the payment side of the Decentralised Voting Proposals. If a Proposal is vote in and confirmed, Superblock will appear at certain block counts and take care of all payouts automatic as confirmed by the code. This secures the decentralized system of the voting/payment process. For more information, please refer here:

What's the best definition for describe a superblocks ?

What is a superblock and how does it work with the budget system?

The budget system has many stages, first a proposal is prepared and submitted to the network. At this point it doesn't qualify to get paid, it will require a full day to mature, then afterward it requires at least 10% of the network to vote yes to make it into what we call the "budget projection". The budget projection is simply all of the proposals that qualify to get paid, sorted in order by YesCount-NoCount (the amount of masternodes that voted Yes on a given proposal, minus the amount of nodes that voted NO), then when the budget system runs out of money for that payment period it will stop adding proposals to the projection.

Later on the network will take the budget projection and finalize it. This is the stage where the rest of the masternode network will compare their projection to the the finalized budget and if they match they will vote "Yes". If more than 10% of the network votes yes on the finalized budget, then when the next super block is reached, the network will create these blocks. Superblocks simply pay one proposal per block until the budget per month is paid, for example the last superblocks began on 332320 and ended on 332322.

What's really cool is we will use this to expand the narrative to the general public, create a great website and make some really easy conversation pathways to get people into the ecosystem. When we see some price appreciation, we'll actually have more money to work with, that will allow us to do even more and use better services and reward those that work on the project to a greater extent. We can also use it to pay for legal expenses when they come up and pretty much anything else to protect the ecosystem and make sure the general public is getting the correct information about what we are. We are officially the most decentralized project in crypto and probably even the world? We're planning on solving all of the problems in crypto in ways that are scalable and decentralized and believe we have the solutions for these already, unlike Bitcoin, with centralized Lightning, centralized mixing, centralized instant transactions, soon to be centralized infrastructure (larger blocks will create that),  centralized governance and centralized funding.

If you want more information about the budget system, you should download the client and try messing with the console. Here's all of the commands that are available:

Quote
       "mnbudget \"command\"...\n"
                "Vote or show current budgets\n"
                "\nAvailable commands:\n"
"  prepare            - Prepare proposal for network by signing and creating tx\n"
                "  submit             - Submit proposal for network\n"
                "  vote-many          - Vote on a Dash initiative\n"
                "  vote-alias         - Vote on a Dash initiative\n"
                "  vote               - Vote on a Dash initiative/budget\n"
                "  getvotes           - Show current masternode budgets\n"
                "  getinfo            - Show current masternode budgets\n"
                "  show               - Show all budgets\n"
"  projection         - Show the projection of which proposals will be paid the next cycle\n"
"  check              - Scan proposals and remove invalid\n"
"  nextblock          - Get next superblock for budget system\n"

Quote
               "mnfinalbudget \"command\"... ( \"passphrase\" )\n"
                "Vote or show current budgets\n"
                "\nAvailable commands:\n"
                "  vote-many   - Vote on a finalized budget\n"
                "  vote        - Vote on a finalized budget\n"
                "  show        - Show existing finalized budgets\n"
"  getvotes     - Get vote information for each finalized budget\n"

By the way, we have the technology we need now to show the world, the killer app for Bitcoin is Dash. We are Bitcoin 2.0. We can't allow something to take over that is so centralized by design, when there are other far superior ways of doing things. The future needs pure decentralized system. We also now have a very stable foundation to work with, while we implement the next generation of crypto. Buckle your seat belts, we're ready to go  Wink

With the continued dash price collapse the shills are getting increasingly desperate! Let's all go buy a shitcoin with a massive intentional instamine fraud . If the price keeps going down we'll just pray to the benevolent, charitable Otoh!

How to launch a shitcoin scam in just 6 easy steps!

Step 1. Mislead as many people as possible about the launch time. Like so:

Ok now it insta crashes when I type "setgenerate true".

Time to go to bed and try again next week?

Yeah, let's do that. I obviously need to do some more testing. Thanks everyone!

Best thing to do I guess. Please, confirm you won't be launching after some minutes/hours even if you fix it, and the sooner would be tomorrow, thanks.

Definitely not. I'll also follow up with this post when I do set a time.

"Definitely not."

We all know he went on to launch it a couple of hours later, despite his confirmation that he'd wait until the next day at the earliest. Bravo Evan, you're a class act. The pinnacle of integrity and professionalism.

Step 2. INSTAMINE! INSTAMINE! INSTAMINE!

Instamine! Once again Evan has set a fine example here with his Linux-only release. This ensures an optimal instamine period without any pesky windows lamers getting in the way of it. TIP: The more successful you are with Step 1, the more it will help your instamine in Step 2.

It's also important to ignore questions about the huge instamine for as long as possible. Deny it ever happened. Viciously attack anyone who posts irrefutable proof of the massive instamine scam. Try to discredit them. Call them trolls and put their names on "troll lists."

Bonus points if you advertise "No premine" in your ANN title like Evan has done here (despite the massive 1.5 million instamine in the first 8 hours of launch).  Did i mention the integrity and professionalism?

Step 3. Lower the total supply and cut the mining rewards drastically once you're done instamining. This is a no-brainer!

-Lower the supply of coins that can ever exist from 80 million to 20 million.
-Cut the mining reward from 500 coins per block to 5 coins per block.

No one will notice. If they do, we'll just call them trolls, try to discredit them and put them on "troll lists" (see Step 2)

Step 4. When your fraudulent instamine gets noticed, start a "Vote" to airdrop an additional 2 million coins to balance out the fraudulent instamine. Stop the vote early when a few of the other instamine scammers complain!

Step 5. When people start rebelling against the scam, no problem. Change your name! Then change it again!

Step 6. Release yet another gimmick that takes coins from miners and put them in your pockets. Call them "Superblocks" because you're lame as fuck and actually think it sounds cool. Make sure to call it "decentralized" even though 1 person owns over 50% of all masternodes! Use this to distract from not delivering on your "masternode blinding" feature you announced previously. Don't mention this failure. Ignore any questions about it and just hope people stop asking.

Dash's NBT (Next Big Thing)  will be revealed 7th of october 2015 and appearently consists of a juicy 50 pages of whitepaper.
Exciting times ahead...

Actually this paper is quite special and we're going to release this the correct way. This is going to be huge  Wink

Have I missed something or there was no info about this whitepaper released yet?
And what do you mean by "the correct way"?
Thanks

What?  So you are telling me that every month my payments are going to be held or skipped?

Each month masternode payments will be delayed by the amount of proposals that are paid. So for example this month, it means people will receive payments 3 blocks late. No payments are ever skipped from the budget system.

How annoymous is this? for the average user not using Tor browser and what not?

well, if you mix in masternode, your transactions pass mostly through amazon servers, so decide for yourself.
Also, try to mix a few k when you're at it. I suggest a good book while you are waiting (I suggest 11.22.63 by Stephen King, very enjoyable!)
