These four stood out for me:

I forgot that upper right one, yes, it's bright and feels right as a logo.  I like it too.
yeah, those two on the right looks great. top right is probably the best so far. i didn't realize " ) " and " ( " represents " D " and " C "
  Grin Great work

Totally agreed - top right is my favourite, but bottom right a close second.

There can't be any discussion - these are all too colourful. The one that Evan really liked is definitely the slickest one. It's really sharp and aggressive and looks amazingly professional.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

I'm not sure aggressive is the image we want to be advertising to new investors. IMO for DRK to reach the masses as a cash alternative, it needs to look like a payment gateway, and I think the colourful ones catch the eye better, and don't bring any of the negative connotations that dark colours can engender. Just my opinion though :-)

I have found this.

We're decided we're going to be changing the name of XCoin to something else. It's already kind of confusing to search for XCoin on Google and we want to differentiate ourselves from the other company using the name.

We thought it might be fun to actually let the community suggest the future name for XCoin. Any ideas?

Ps. The blockchain will stay intact, and it's merely a domain name change, some strings in the client, and the images.

Ps2. The addresses will still start with X, so keep that in mind for the suggestions

The winner gets 1000XCO! Let the competition begin.

I am so glad to know that.

Too colorful? There are only 2 colors on logos showed above. Orange and gray ; blue and black. I don't think it is too colorful  Smiley

Did the lotterymining.com guys shut down and take the coin?  Today was an announcement to remove coins as the lotto is over.  My pin didn't work and my account has been locked.  The site stated an email had been sent to recover my pin.  But no email has arrived over 30 minutes.

send me a pm with your username ill fix it... and no we dont "just" run off with the coins, but those coins who are not withdrawn on the 22th will be considered pools money, and will be used for happenings at a later time

Awesome Thanks

You're right it's not that bad. Of course this is the one I'm taking about.

It struck me right away as being the perfect mix of style and substance. It definitely looks like something I would use regularly to make payments. I can imagine myself saying "do you take darkcoin?" in any store in the future with a logo like that. Anyways that's my opinion of course.

What are the views on stealth addresses for bitcoin? I may have missed any discussions on them.

I just noticed that bitcointalk.org time stamp.

It's GMT.  I always thought Satoshi was British.

It's fun to see that fake 2BTC sell wall @ 0.00140000 on cryptsy forcin to sell cheap.
I have to say it was even more fun when I placed buy wall @ 0.00139999 and watched the wall in no time, I guess the cheapskate buyer didn't see that coming Wink

Ha ha! Yeah, I saw that! I immediately thought it must be 'little games'

You will get a higher rate as the shares are generated quicker, but not quite that high usually. Expect up to 10%, but this genuinely doesn't hurt your income. You can mitigate some issues by trying these things:

  • Add +0.01 to your username (your DRK address) - this stops your Internet connection getting spammed up with tiny shares, and helps out smaller miners by setting your minimum difficulty.
  • Make sure you're using the P2Pool nodes with the lowest latency. Check out chaeplin's DRK P2Pool scanner or the p2pools.org DRK page to find the ones that you'll get the lowest ping times rates to. This is a pretty important factor in P2Pool mining.

I run a bunch of P2Pools so feel free to PM me for help.

Is the DGW immune from the attack described in this thread?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552895.0

Aurora coin had a timewarp attack on it and a fix for the KGW was posted that fixes the attack and 51% attacks. I think...

Also my Fav for sure!  This is awesome.  The "D" is great.

How about sticking that "D" on the "Realistic" type coin of we have now.
