why it's the best coin ?

Probably because he instamined it or bought too much.

I love how mining at the beginning of the launch is now synonymous with instamining. Lots of sore miners showing up in here.

If a coin succeeds => the coin is criticized.

If a coin dies => nobody is around to even care about criticizing.

Indeed, I mean sure I'm dissappointed that I didn't know about btc when it came out and missed that train. Now for every successful coin that comes out and people miss that train they decide it is an instamine coin.

Come on people. Smiley

Well i wish i knew about this coin too! I was too busy mining other coins, but it seems people were complaining about it because the developers dropped the number of coins down to 22 million, making the difficulty higher, i also think there was a bug in the code that was giving a high block reward for the first few blocks before they patched it.

Well, admittingly thats one thing where people are probably right to be annoyed. distribution of coins, including bitcoin and darkcoin could have been made way more fair by evening out the overproportional gains of the early blocks. Its really hard to ignore this pyramid scheme.

Been away for some time from this topic and what i see these masternodes willbe the biggest flaw of darkcoin. This makes the whole coin sort of centralized again and more exposed to attacks. Why? Because i honestly think the masternodes willbe under a ddos attack sooner or later which makes the whole network unstable. I dont think more then 10% of the people running these nodes have a proper network and security background, i expect it even less (maybe < 5% who have the skills and/or resources to protect themself for a ddos).

Also i stumbled on a coin that has all the future's we want so eagerly, its called bytecoin based on cryptonote (which is a new technique that makes the blockchain 100% anonymous without bloating or using masternodes). The best thing is that its already opensource and was in development for the last 4 years (with a coin that is almost 2 years old atm).

You can read more about this here, here and here, also there is a whitepaper which explains these anonymous ring signatures.

Are 80% of the coins mined and in circulation, with a small group no doubt?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.msg6124035#msg6124035

If so, good luck with that and the spam thing you got going on.

Spam thing? Care to clarify this for me?

Im talking about the technique, its open source and can be adopted for new coins. Im not talking about the coin distribution of bytecoin you greedy padawan. We even dont know what community is behind this coin, it was 2 years burried in the deepweb. Also looking at the transactions going on its possible that a full shadow economy is already running on it. But we dont know for sure as its 100% ANONYMOUS.

Or do you want transparency and a open ledger? Then better stick with Bitcoin and their clones.

You're the second person that has come in here in under 24 hours to advertise byte coin. Don't be ridiculous. If you want to hock your wares then come out right and say it. Stop trying to be doing this on the sly..O_O.

Hell, Anonymint tried it the first time and learned from that mistake. He at least has proven to be an informative if not crucial part of the discussion on DARKSEND. So please, if you want to advertise a coin you're invested in, don't treat people like idiots.

Great, so thats a good thing i'm not the only one seeing a brighter future in this cryptonote technology. Dont get me wrong on Darkcoin, i was cloud mining this when it was still xcoin and i didn't sell much of it. In other words i'm a day #1 supporter of this coin but the whole debacle thats going on in here about coin distribution, centralising the coin with master nodes and hospitality about what is good or wrong makes the future of this coin not a bright one for investors.

Is Darkcoin resistant to the Blackcoin "Black Hole" multipool described here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/225lil/will_this_strategy_affect_vert_negatively/

Haven't been up on all the mining/technical discussions, so this might have already been covered.

I doubt the blackcoin multipool can have any serious effect on the market of any altcoin. DRK is actually using x11 so it's off the multipool list for people shifting between a wide selection of scrypt coins.

I mean the concept is "I can't mine blackcoin, so I mine something else, sell it and then buy blackcoins".

Why not go for an established and more efficient multipool and buy blackcoins with the BTCs if you are a blackcoin believer? You'll probably get more blackcoins (or any altcoins for that matter). Just to save a few clicks by transfering the btcs to the exchange and then the blackcoins from the exchange to your wallet?

If alt-cryptoland was more oriented towards the people who have no idea how to mine or use exchanges etc etc, then it might have some benefit for them, otherwise I don't see it.

Multipools currenlty mine scrypt and SHA-256 coins. DRK is x11, so it's not affected by that at the moment.

I don't really mind multipools. It that kills a coin, the coin had a vounerability that would eventually stop it. We'll see what survives... place your bets gentlemen.

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

why it's the best coin ?

Probably because he instamined it or bought too much.

I love how mining at the beginning of the launch is now synonymous with instamining. Lots of sore miners showing up in here.

It's synonymous with instamining because there is no other way to describe 50% of currently available coins being released in 24hrs. After block 4500 the reward dropped from 500 to 56, and the difficulty retarget was changed from 24hrs to 1hr. It's one the most terrible launches I've ever seen. I wish it had been done right in the start. It just looks bad, and the bad press will unfortunately open the door up for numerous "fairdark" clones.

I'm not a "sore miner' as I was mining xcoin a few days after launch, although I didn't know about the instamine at the time. You could also argue that I benefited from buying at low prices, which I did, but it doesn't mean I don't care about the blatant instamine. Something like that will haunt a coin. People hate quark because of its "unfair" distribution.
