DRK needs to be in the news every week for the next 6 weeks. there is enough material there.

1. what is the official statement to the press on the Coinbase story?
2. what is the official statement to the press on an alternative to Tor?
3. What is the official statement to the press on kristov review and his initial comments?
4. What is the official statement to the press that RC4 is running stable and now we move on to xyz?
5. What is the official statement to the press that DRK is going open source before the end of the year and invitations to developers is being pushed?
6. What is the official statement to the press that DRK has the same APIs as Bitcoin and is Bitcoin's alternative to xyz?
......

if there isn't an official statement or PR planned, then it would be good to know.

I and others can get something done about it.

TanteStefana has proved that she can write clearly, coherently and accessibly. I'd happily throw some DRK her way to keep her doing so. And since my English is better than my python, I'm going to attempt my own DRK piece, probably concentrating on #2.

"Seek forgiveness, not permission," is something I read by a poster on darkcointalk, whose name now escapes me, apologies.

If you can write, write something, put it out there. If you're not happy doing it yourself, crack your DRK bags open and invest a little of it encouraging someone else to do so.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Let them spend time on developing. All this communications bs is nice for the price short term. On the long run, all that matters is technological advancement. I think the dev team have identified this months ago and are focussing on the right things now.

We are not croakcoin pump and dump, we are innovation. DRK will sell itself when its done

I'm going to have a go at some PR of my own precisely because I want the devs to concentrate on more important matters.

No reason not to get a few words down, establish some contacts etc. now, in preparation for future events.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Sir Crouton.

We've had the pump and dump crew come and go.

This suggested material is, in effect, advance communication that some of these things are coming to market shortly.

No different to xyz mobile phone saying an announcement on new products is due on x date.

No different to Apple inviting press to a conference on x date to make a new product announcement.

I actually think that the current status is almost a validation to many that the pump did happen; the dump did happen; and there is nothing more to expect from DRK.

There's a thread over on /r/Bitcoin talking about anonymous cryptocurrencies. It's been mostly taken over by Monero supporters.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2ee4ol/zerocoin_anyone_in_light_of_the_bitlicense/

Guys can you upvote this answer? http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/29675/6441

we are in something of an external communication no mans land.

not quite ready to release stable, waiting for kristov, waiting for open source, waiting for people to get back from holidays, waiting for video to be complete, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting......

this is the time to do a plan of releases, don't just put everything into one PR statement.....

DRK needs to be in the news every week for the next 6 weeks. there is enough material there.

If you aren't already get on darkcointalk

Some bounties to write these up would help. I'm a journalist but some of these statements require decent research time to avoid being fluff.

please link to some material of yours......

thanks

mn operator really need rc5,
most of these notes are running for 10 days without payment. and this bad ass on 108.61.217.198 got 61 coins in 9 days!

That's not 61 DRK in 9 days, it's just the current balance and how long that server has been running since it's last update or since elbereth last restarted his scripts.

http://explorer.darkcoin.fr/address/XnqExZ9QnJuaLTttHrbosn5FU1Wy4XXixL - been running since 19th June.

edit: check the blockchain for the other addresses you say haven't been paid, you'll find they were, just had those earnings withdrawn.

So what causes this?

https://drk.mn/masternodes.html

IP: 54.179.168.208

sudo reboot and restarted MN twice already w/o resolve.

Anybody know?

http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html?srch&nmstr=168.208

Looks like 1K was moved to a new address.

Code:
Xc5pT92iXqkUWkHrdLFVeL4MNP1BD1VG9t	[1][2][3][4]	7	Amazon_Singapore	Singapore	_._.168.208	-	-	nl	-	-	nl	2902/2902	11887/11887
XhdoxZecHDbJQqQnyWKhdxfntkLLrYxTZR [1][2][3][4] 1 Amazon_Singapore Singapore _._.168.208 + + nl + + nl 3/3 2804/2804

new MN ip + new MN address + new MN masternodeprivkey will.

Thx El Presidente :-)

I spent some time last night getting everything fixed :-)

Moved everything to a new server with new IP
New 0 Wallet Addy etc etc - so everything is good now.

I would like to thank you ALL for your help and responses to my issues - you guys/gals are the BEST :-)

@ El Presidente - hit me on PM with an email addy - I'd like to give you access to the Guide I'm writting.
 - A Dummies Guide to MN Setup -

See what you think of it :-)

DRK is duh BOMB !!!!

All those little dots on the ground are Shitcoins :-P

If your node is not getting paid move it to another location. Looks like there are differences.

WALLET DENOMINATION REPORT ! ! !

Just wanted to let the folks, that have been testing on the Denomination process, know about what happened today....

The other day I set MN rounds to 8
I have 11K plus in a test wallet V.31
Set the number of DRK to be denominated to 100DRK
Nothing happened and I kinda gave up on it

BUT.....
This morning I got up and DL'd V.32 just to try it in testNet.

When the wallet started (I forgot it was still set for the above parameters :-)
It started to Denom the 100DRK out of the 11K plus.

Everything seems to be running okay.
It looks like V.32 fixed the issue of Denominating small amounts when you have a very large Walllet :-)

WOOHOO!!!!!

Anybody else try thing yet?

There was something missing from your update.

DRK is duh BOMB !!!!

All those little dots on the ground are Shitcoins :-P

There, fixed it for you

Don't fret too much, that's pretty normal.  I've gone 20+ days without a payment on one of my nodes.  Actually, I took that bugger and restarted it on a new ip, new masternode key AND new wallet.  I'm waiting to see if it does better.  So far it's been okish???  fingers crossed Wink
