Utilizing the Masternode network - DarkTor

One of the future goals is to turn the masternode network into a decentralized business for masternode operators. To do this we’ll add features that improve the privacy of end users and compete with centralized businesses. Our first endeavor into this is to make a completely private tor network within Darkcoin.
.....
As for the cost of the service we’re thinking $0.50 per day or something to that effect.

To anyone who has ever interacted with VCs, either raising money, investing or brokering, this figure is the key indicator that is missing from crypto, generally.

Offering a service such as DRK Tor and charging a fee, regardless of whether it is $0.01 or $5 per day, makes DRK an investment asset.

If you buy 1,000 DRKs, you will get an ROI.  How big that ROI just went speculative because we don't know how much end users would be willing to pay.

This isn't a launch a currency and try and get some merchants to use it.  This is an anonymous, decentralised, business entity.

The number of users could be millions, to tens to hundreds of millions, each day. The annual revenues could be $hundreds of millions to $billions.

DRK valuation is now linked to what people think the value of the network could be in a few years time, on an investment basis.

Its current value could be $100m - $300m.  All you have to do is look at the second and third rounding found raised by Twitter or any mass adoption tech start-up.

You know this is real. You know this is how Silicon Valley works. You know DRK is about to go ballistic from all the new Master Node owners that want a piece of the ROI action year, after year, after year.

Good post please bump every two pages

Evan is indeed building an ecosystem, with build in revenue stream

We are talking about Tor on steroids here. But in addition to encryption and anonymisation of connection you can add decent transfer speed and payments.
Dozens of thousands users would go for it straight away and as you say, the sky is the limit.

What is TOR used for?  I'm answering my own question here :  https://www.torproject.org/about/torusers.html.en

Just stunned at the brilliance of the new DarkTor masternode service - amazing.

Dont we already have a VPS provider in iceland that accepts Darkcoin.

I will gladly use them, darksend them some coins and become an exit node....with the number of TOR users out there, I think someone calculated that at 50 cents per user per day, and 1000 masternodes thats like $180,000 return a year per masternode!!

I think we need to have some further discussions around how it will all work but super excited after RC5 + obfuscation at this project!

Well, we should get more people putting up masternodes so that'll bring the income down, however, if it's super easy to use, and as more people become concerned about their privacy, we may bring in more customers.  So that may be quite accurate??  I wonder if masternodes will have a new minimum requirement with this?

Any one of us can now go and raise money to invest in Master Nodes.

Once the network is up and running, with evidence of ROI, you will be able to put together a business plan and seek debt funding.

DRK will be backed by fiat....fiat paying to use the DRKTor service. People will exchange fiat to buy DRK so they can use Web 3.0

Each Master Node operator will become their own small business. Their own investment vehicle.

Fuck me. What has Evan gone and created.

Just click through the blocks. I tried earlier but couldn't find what he was talking about. Fairly normal amounts going to the exchanges as far as I could tell.

But I'm no el presidente Smiley

I'm not sure which of a few things you meant by that, so please pick one of the following answers from me depending on what you meant:

  • Swapping private keys is swapping the coins.
  • Good luck getting that added to the bitcoin protocol.
  • What about double-spending?

None of the above. I have an idea. But will take some research before I'd venture to voice it properly. And I'll do it on darkcointalk not here Smiley

TOR has over 2m users.

Has anyone noticed the price today? The rebound is about 110.72 % and we are 3rd in volume. Now it is obvious, that the confidence was not lost in DRK or anything similar. It was pure market manipulation in hard times (which lasted a few days for the altcoins and Bitcoin) .
I'm hoping that this trend will continue and that we see $20M market cap and higher by the end of the week (certainly possible). The sell side is actually quite thin.
