You are right Tante. The links are diferents from the post of Evan on DarkcoinTalk. (do not use them!! Download from darkcoin.io)

I don't see them as different.

They seem to all point at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject

Where were the links that you say are fake ? (I downloaded Mac wallets and Linux but I think I just googled darkcoin.io, I can't quite remember, but it was that post that prompted me).

Oh yeah. I see it now, the URL root is different. The rogue is https://github.com/darkcoinproject while the official is https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject.

F*ck. I hope no-one followed that. At least the Mac link is broken which is the one I would have used for my 'live' wallet.

I downloaded the linux file (darkcoin-0.11.1.19-linux.tar.gz) from both sources and ran them through UltraCompare Professional Version 15.0.0.1006 using fast and slow binary compare modes.  NO DIFFERENCES.

Can somebody scan them using different tools?

Poor adorable wonderful Speedy Gonzales; lost to the world due to fanatical Political Correctness.  RIP.  I never thought of anything like "Mexicans are lazy" as a kid watching his show, the other characters were just slow and funny.  Was it intentionally derogatory?  I hope not, 'cause I really loved those shows!

My masternodes haven't appeared in ninja at all. They've been up for about 6 hours (I did "start masternode" from the local wallet and it said was successful).

If I restart the masternodes do I have to get the local wallet out and do "start masternode" again ?

Yes, this was a protocol update, you have to restart from remote and local.

Logged into my VPS and a grep wasn't returning anything (just bringing up next prompt like you've pressed the enter key without entering any command)

That's what mine's doing. I restarted the remote daemon and the local one and re-issued "start masternode" a few times but I still don't get any grep.

I think I'll try again tomorrow and see if anything transpires.

I dont think we are allowing our masternodes to shut down for long enough to clear out their active status.  so I manually shut mine down, and then gave it a couple minutes, then started back up and started from local.

Use this command: grep HotCold .darkcoin/debug.log
to make sure that's returning something like: CActiveMasternode::EnableHotColdMasterNode() - Enabled! You may shut down the cold daemon.
Then you are definitely safe!  If it doesn't, something is wrong!

Did you download from a site called zappy or zippy or something like that?  If you went to one of the earlier bumps, it was fine, it wasn't until snake.in.the.blanket modified the post (which you can't see, but when you follow the link you go elsewhere Smiley

I downloaded from these 2:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject

no zippyshare.  That's just for Celtic matches.  It's pretty slow for a site called zippy...

There's no wallet.dat in there.

Anyone else having trouble with Cryptsy at this moment?

It seems to be incredibly slow. Pages aren't updating properly. Watching the feed on Bitcoinwisdom there aren't too many bid/ask updates happening either which suggests Cryptsy users aren't on there updating their buy/sell orders.

edit: looks like it's just come good now.

Hey taoofsatoshi - You'll probably get it on Twitter faster but here, I made you a new profile pic for your twitter account. I thought some of your hashtags were weird at the beginning but there's no denying that you put in tons of effort to support Darkcoin and hopefully you can enjoy this and use it, thanks for all your work.
