I moved over here from XC after supporting it for a good 6 months, XC had some good tech whatever the haters say, but it lost focus, the community was not as good and the coin died...

Ha, hahahahahahahahahaha.
Careful to laugh at other people's downfall, at least the guy had the guts to come here and admit it,eh. Many coins will fall this year and this could happen to anyone ..

They are laughing not because a legitimate coin had trouble, but because XC was always a shitty proof of stake coin created by loljosh and half developed by some RF maritime radio guy. That never open sourced anything , so the "good tech" part is plain silly. And that together with their gang of wannabe pumpers went to scam a lot of people out of their hard earned BTC with the blocknet ICO. There I said it.

please, this is not about DarkCoin (only). This is a general falling market. Please follow: http://coinmarketcap.com It's all in red.

The fundamentals of Darkcoin are rock solid.

This is why you should not invest in a coin that is vaporware and you wait for mooooooonths for dev to actually make the coin do what it is supposed to do instead of coins that actually do the job and better!

Oh and premined/ninjamined/instamined coins ALWAYS dump like this.

Have fun and i hope some of you took some lessons...

I'll remember this post to you in 2 months time.

Glad I've buy at 780k.  Back when it was at 0.028 bitcoin was at 650$,we deserve minimum a 0.02 soon ,double market cap,and going to #4 again. At least for longterm Darkcoin could easily reach his 0.1 BTC,chart look like we're ready for something Smiley

Whoever has knowledge of cryptos and wants to invest is already aware of DRK and has or has not taken a position.

Come on, with 534 currencies no one can really know them all. Mainstream is still only a vaguely familiar with the concept of BTC and DRK is only recently really getting out of obscurity.

Just the other day I spoke with a friend of mine, the oldest hacker in the world, a genius whose spiritual and intellectual father was Richard Feynman and he has never heard of Darkcoin before. I piqued his interest and hope he'd let some of his crazy old guys know about it also and, hopefully, contribute ideas etc.

It is a long, long, long, long, did I say long already?, road before the Darkcoin is really a part of everyday's life for millions of people all over the world...

There is an unimaginable amount of talent and skill lying dormant and getting wasted within those oldschool hacker and cracker groups (who are mostly very poor as well), if you have any connections to those people, try to get them involved. It's easy to do the thing you've always done, and then what happens is that the next generation will overtake you and make you obsolete. Don't let that talent be wasted, get them to build the future with us.

@illodin

He is in Smiley Smiley Smiley -- and is already https://darkcoin.slack.com/messages/ambassador/team/boblq/ and is organizing a Digital Currency Meetup in The Philippines where he has 52 members already http://www.meetup.com/Makati-Digital-Currency-Meetup/members/.

Moreover we've started working on a Darkcoin based project... as he's familiarizing with the code. Let us surprise him with a fraction of a coin, or more Smiley

Happy!!

For hard core miners, the masternode system is an elegant solution to constant upgrades of ASIC machines and electricity bills, it is a back handed way of achieving a stable mining yield that is 100% ASIC proof without having to do the actual proof of work itself.

Cars are the new targets for hacking:

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/2015/02/08/report-cars-vulnerable-wireless-hacking/23094215/

When all cars are driver-less, we will all be subject to being driven places we never wanted to go to.

Sorry honey, I asked the car to take me home, but Hooters hacked the car and I found myself in a bar. I only had one drink, honest.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

wow indeed, but in order to keep up with the downtrend angle of BTC it has to go up to keep the same value

That's true.  DRK has been doing nicely against BTC, but I checked the DRK/USD chart on Cryptsy and we are only back to the same price level as early December.  In short, DRK is still cheap and still has alot of upside left.

Just a little follow up on the Raspberry Pi 2 / Masternode testing started here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg10389325#msg10389325

4 testnet masternodes running with no issues so far  Smiley

The build process takes a lot of time to complete as it uses just one core. In order to use the other cores we need more than 1GB of ram so just

Code:
sudo nano /etc/dphys-swapfile

set swapsize to 2048

Code:
CONF_SWAPSIZE=2048

and setup the swap

Code:
sudo dphys-swapfile setup

after this you can use for example

Code:
make -j 3

to use 3 cores to compile.

Enjoy  Cool

History Section
------------------------------------------------
1 - Russia supplies Europe with gas to prevent it from freezing (captive market)
2 - Gutter (aka Qatar) has the 3rd largest supply of LNG (liquified natural gas) in the world behind Russia and Iran.
3 - Gutter buys a shitload of US debt
4 - Gutter can't move the gas to Europe because there is no pipeline, only ships which are more expensive
5 - USA, Saudi Arabia, and Gutter would like to build a pipeline through Syria that will connect with Europe
6 - In order to topple Syria, Russia (which backs Syria) must be weakened
7 - The US takes out the elected government in the Ukraine by Coup De Etat, replacing it with more "westerners" to fuck with Russia
8 - Saudi Arabia crashes the price of oil to fuck with Russia

Future Events Section
------------------------------------------------
1 - The US, Saudi, Guttarian plan will fail as Russia will not collapse
2 - The US Petrodollar will no longer be the reserve currency of the world
3 - DarkCoin will become the new reserve currency of the world

simple.

That was quick.  Future point 1:

Future point 2:

We have to wait a wee bit longer...

Future point 3:

Darkcoins supports 50%-60% of all GPU miners hashpower currently Shocked

It becoming the new reserve/saving crypto currency of GPU owners Grin
