Like someone already said, Dash = Dark Cash or Digital Cash, depends on who it's marketed to.

 I know it makes perfect sense, but it sounds so 1980's ... If anything DASH. Also, the whole point is to drop "Dark"...

Would be hard when Evan would most likely sit on the Darkcoin github repo, let alone potential TM issues (haven't looked into that). You can already clone the source if you wanted right now... you're not going to magically clone the MN network though.
