read the paper about transaction locking, it explains it pretty well. TL;DR inputs are not only locked on a client level but on a network level.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Getting the fork message on a client I just sent 1000+ DRK to from Bitfinex How can I resolve it without losing coins? Just wait for the network to catch up. As long as you hold the private key for the recieving address there is nothing you should worry about. I checked the transaction the block explorer and it was confirmed and on the right chain. Reindex made my QT client force shut so I opened up a Local QT from one my Masternodes, it synced to the right block and then I simply copied over the Blocks and Chainstate folders. Everything is good now. That'll teach me for wanting to play around with Darksend mixing instead of trading :p

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

Read edit above. Easy test. Sent 1DRK InstantX to an EMPTY walley (ie no other inputs) and immediatly after sent back to original wallet once it IntantX confirmed. Satisfied? Not really… 1) Minotaur26 said 2 mins 2) Do MN's generate diff tokens? YES/NO i.e. if i respend instantx tx's b4 miner confirmations how can double-spending be prevented unless the tokens are diff? educate me You can use them just like any other coins. You can't IX anything that has less then 6 block-level confirmations. https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/blob/master/src/instantx.cpp#L226So MN's are sending I/O valies as yet unconfirmed by mining network? How long does 6 blocks take? Is that a full confirmation? Yep, 6 blocks x ~2.5 minutes per block = ~15 minutes till you can send the same funds using IX. But you can send them as usual or start mixing right after first block.

Been a while, forgot he's a troll...
Miner confirmations set the transactions into the blockchain. Making it so that you only can do 1 IX transaction at a time is a safety measure. Really, we could reduce the blockchain bloat to super minimum by only mining one block a day, and have everything be IX. However, it's safer to do more testing, or even stay conservative and reduce block times to maybe every 30 minutes or so. Really, the IX is so that DRK can be used where you're doing face to face transactions such as buying gas, groceries or fast food. The merchant isn't gong to do anything with those funds for the next 15 minutes, so it doesn't really matter.

UdjinM6 clearly said, you can spend immediately after receiving an InstanX transaction using normal send. And you have to wait for a few confirms if you want to InstantX again. It is super clear. He is not really looking for any answers he just want to drag the conversation for as long as possible.

You're almost my new pet troll, but I'll give you one last chance. And an official dev HAS given you an answer (vertoe), nothing beats guided self-education. To use IX you need funds that have already been confirmed at least 6 blocks. You send IX from A to B, and you CAN use B funds as regular tx, just not IX B funds again until you have 6 confirms.
