I just ask about his exit strategy. It's a valid question. He may sell, he may not. Everybody has it's own opinions. He has his price.

DASH TWITTER HASHTAG

Hey All,

I have played around with the hashtag #DASH, and there is far too much noise in that Twitter feed to use it effectively to get our news and info out properly.

As such, I have looked into hashtag usage, and I have concluded that the hashtag #DashDC is perfect due to our name DASH - Digital Cash, and due to the fact it has minimal noise (only 5 tweets since October).

I will be using this hashtag, and I propose that it be made the default.

Cheers,

Tao.

#DashDC
Bump. We've built it. Way better. You can actually see relevant tweets, not buried in crap!

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Please, monero "evangelist" guys, this is embarrasing (and I do think monero is a good project, following it for a long time)
Please don't come here to fud us with all kind of idiotic paranoia. You don't help or promote your project with that.

We dont FUD you at all! Be respectful with other people and other thinking, you know what is that?

I really want you as a community work hard to achieve your goals, then the market will decide. Fudding is not good for your coin or the alt community.

I repeat, this is embarrasing.

Everyone who asks a probing question or disagrees with something about this project is not FUDing or trolling, nor is skepticism the same as evangelism. That defense is played out by now. If you want to hear from nothing but cheerleaders darkcointalk is thataway

Hi,

I think I don't understand about Transaction Abbreviation.

Could anyone please explain me more?

Thanks

Well first I would listen to the podcast as it is explained pretty well. I would suggest listening to the whole thing, but if you must skip then go to the last 15 minutes as that is where it is mentioned.

In brief it works like this:
The same input is sent from A →B →C →D in four transactions. Currently that entire history is dragged around in the blockchain but really the only thing that matters is A →D. Thus the history can be pruned using a combination of masternodes and miners. Take a listen for more explanation.

Thank you!

That's great! BUMP!!!

Funny isn't it, while the trolls make their most concerted effort yet on this thread:

- Price is rising

- Masternode count is rising

- Masternode network is stable, payments like clockwork

- Positive press coming through about the re-branding.

- Incredible interview with Evan on LTB - is there a better developer in crypto?

- A feature roadmap that no other coin can compete with.

Great work guys.

Please, you are insulting the inteligence to all our readers here. The constants attacks and fudin is not "questions" or "disagreements". This is like a chat room of people saying the same all the time. We have the same conversation all over and over again with the same topics and the same answers.  You are just trying to destroy the normal communication between people.

You are angry because we, and the market, and everyone think Dark/Dash is a great project. And we don't care about your "instramine", centralized, etc.  FUD

Monero is a good project, work hard for it and with the best thecnology and features you can beat us in the markets.

Sorry, but you Monero guys with this attitude you look like a bunch of losers. And nobody cares about losers.

Let me quote the only reasonable monero guy around here:

One other quick point.

Trolling is not ALL bad.  It is not a black and white thing.  Aside from galvanizing a community it can also be a playful result of healthy competition.  DRK and XMR are most certainly competitors for a theoretical market share.  In the end one will most likely surpass the other.  A little punch and jab now and then isn't bad for either.

This thread is suffering an amazingly low signal/noise due to trolling though.  Too much IMO.  And though I do not represent Monero in any way, and I am in no way saying Monero's community is to blame for it, I am sorry this is happening here.

We are very luky we have darkcointalk.org, with more than 2598 people in it, and more than 45,300 messages.

You guys think Monero devs might sell Monero, if the right offer arrives?

I think they may sell the Monero project to Ripples or Stellars investors.

Everyone has their price, especially if their current holdings isn't worth much. Who holds the gitub repo btw?

If so, what will happen to coin holders?

Anyone who could be adversely impacted by that happening should of course seek legal advice, starting of course with anyone with a significant position in Monero.

Say what you will. Continuous "attacks" are one thing and indeed there are some vile characters here. I don't support them at all. Recently however someone asked a very legitimate question about the philosophy of the project leadership with respect to ownership and buying and selling of coin projects. He was accused of "evangelism."  I don't agree.

Inconvenient truths and questions about direction are not attacks. You can't expect people who sincerely question your approach or are suspicious of various things to shut up and let you cheerlead unchallenged on an open forum. The double standard is quite obvious here. It is just fine to talk about how great Evan is or master nodes are "over and over again" but anyone who brings up anything skeptical or negative that has been discussed before is trolling? Not how I see it.

Thank you for the heads up as to that possibility. Question: has anyone involved with monero taken any action which would indicate a belief that buying and selling of open source projects without community involvement and buyin is appropriate?

Dunno, but everyone has their price, especially if their current holdings isn't worth much, and/or if their view of the future potential is diminished, perhaps by competition gaining the market faster.

I will never agree to sell the project or any significant asset of the project without overwhelming community support, I can't guarantee it wouldn't happen over my objection since Im only one of seven in the core team, but I doubt it. I also don't think you have any idea about my "price." Or perhaps you do but it doesn't quite fit your narrative.

EDIT: feel free to quote btw
