It honestly feels good to be on Dash with a committed development team with a clear roadmap. I think the market is about to consolidate in only a few stronger projects.

After 20 months of watching Bitcoin prices decline steadily and then finally collapse, it's getting more and more depressing. We have the best coin out there..frankly better than Bitcoin IMO, but nobody in the real world seems to give a shit, and prices of all cryptos just keep falling. The good news is I don't need the money I have in DASH any time soon, but it's still depressing to see. Fortunately we are one of the very best projects on the market, so hopefully that will eventually start to matter!

It just takes time, new technologies are always met with skepticism, we need to educate the public about the advantages of Dash and present our plans for the future. Evan is working hard on preparing the roadmap after v12, and we are all looking forward to work more on outreach now that we will have some budget available for that.

The Dash developers are committed for the next couple of years regardless of short term price fluctuations. Now each person is in a different situation, I have no interest in selling my Dash for the next couple of years regardless of price.  Try to invest money you don't need for the next 24 months or so I think that is a good time frame to see Dash develop its own separate vision.

I didn't expect it to go this low, but I definitely thought we'd see it back in the 220s. Greece caused the price to shoot up, the Greek crisis was resolved, the price collapses again. It seemed predictable to me!

2 icky problems, much bitcoin is traded in China and dependent on their trade,
secondly there are 3600 bitcoins mined a day by hungry miners and if they ain't holding then they are dumping, meaning that there must be $774,000 sunk into the bitcoin every single day to maintain equilibrium, could be that the dotcom boom mark 2 is running out of juice as the shares reach their pumped up zenith and subsequent decline...

Secure shell/putty.  Set your mnodes' SSH to a non standard port.  You can also set the SSH daemon to use a key that only you have and to allow only certain IPs access.

You can even put SSH terminal software on your smartphone.  I log into my web servers all the time securely from my phone.  There's no reason you shouldn't be able to restart your MN remotely.

@oblox - cron won't work if dash-cli masternode start doesn't work :-P

Ahh the Pi....well that is out of my realm.   I'm sure we can find a script you can put in cron that would determine the pid of the daemon and then kill it.  But until the mem leak is stomped, I would just make it a habit to restart the MN every couple of days quick like so you don't lose your spot.

Couldn't you issue a "reboot" of the pi remotely?

Correct, but if you had a cron setup to start dashd on crash, you wouldn't have this issue.
