https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/nodes-active/Main difference is Xt nodes, which are counted on Bitnodes, anyway the point is exactly the same, Dash is the only other network with a size comparable to BTC, Litecoin is a far third.

So toknormal thinks full nodes don't do anything... lol. More proof that he has a basic to non-existent understanding of how cryptocurrencies actually work.

So toknormal thinks full nodes don't do anything... In bitcoin, full nodes DON'T do anything logically different from regular nodes other than supplying the blockchain. In Dash, full nodes DO do something logically different from regular nodes other than supplying the blockchain.

The hash rate is easily obtained from 'getmininginfo' in debug console. So "networkhashps" : 6943048374669430483746 / (10 ^ 9) = 69.43 Gigahashes per second It was the nodes part is not so obvious, btw have you noticed if this is accurate we only have around ~248 wallets online around the world, masternodes =3222 active nodes =3470 hot wallets = 248 sounds too low don't you think? I am not sure I believe this figure, just the hot wallets for the exchanges must be quite a few for starters ..

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

I think this may be what you are looking for: https://bitinfocharts.com/darkcoin/nodes/5161 Dash nodes Anyway, this is just one site that may be using a specific method, just an indication I still think we should do our own official estimation. More than the amount itself I was interested in the relative comparison between Dash and other networks from the same site. So we may still need to do our own calculation to come up with an official number.

Yer but these are inactive nodes, or is there some sort of grey area where the updating is sluggish, I agree we should calculate this figure ourselves. Edit: I also had trouble with the node numbers with bitcoin, some came as ~5100 and others ~6000, inaccurate slow updates?

3220 masternodes. I'm just amazed! I know, from the P2Pool list, that there are currently 41 nodes running, so at least 3261 nodes online at this moment, not including other miners or nodes Can anyone explain to me the disadvantages with running a P2pool node? Is it simply perceived variance? or is there a real payout dependency as opposed to using traditional pools. I personally don't see a difference, but I run such a low hash rate, it's hard to tell.
