OP needs updating.
Are we on .55?
Yes

When an upgrade occurs, how does one know if:

[1] - one has to adopt that upgrade to keep getting paid
>> If there is a protocol bump. You'll get kicked off when enforcement is sporked on otherwise.

[2] - from what point the clock starts ticking to define the upgrade window (i.e. how much time have we got to upgrade before going to the 'back of the queue' when we come back online) ?
>> 70 minutes I believe

I do believe that 70 mins is a time frame for a hangup or crash of the MN, you'll getting paid as long as you are on the last protocol.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

************* Amber Alert **************

Note 1: Lloyds Bank top Savings accounts pay between 0.75% and 4% AER

Note 2: The Dash Reserve market currently pays 22% AER

Note 3: If anyone wants to invest in the Dash reserve market, they need to get their capital from the Dash currency market

Technical foul:

There was indeed a 'technical foul' of sorts, but you're just too thick to see it.

You had an open goal there but got too blinded by your own nonsense to kick the ball into it.

(I think I'll just leave it as a thread quiz now since Adam so gloriously missed his chance to troll, even when it's handed to him on a plate by me  Wink  )

Ok, my new v55 wallet is fired up and standing by.

5 Dash to anyone who gets it in the next 30 minutes. That's by 12:55 GMT, while I finish my VAT return. (Interestingly, it looks like it isn't going to be the person who accused me of a 'foul' in the first place since he can't identify it even when he's being paid).

If there's no takers by 12:55 GMT with the right answer I get to keep my 5 Dash.

There was a bit of a 'technical foul' in my previous post comparing Dash's 22% interest to the Lloyds bank savings accounts. You have to identify what it was.

Technically the Dash reserve market doesn't provide an AER because any interest paid is not combined with the original balance (at least until it reaches 1000).

22% assuming MN count doesn't increase  Grin

********** Clue: ************

Even if Dash skyrockets in value to 1 million dollars per Dash, the reserve portion of the supply will still be paying 22% AER. This seems too good to be true - and it is. So there must be some other factor in the economics which comes into play.
