Please don't worry about this. Yes, other coins will emulate us. However, the license, though open source, will require them to keep the name "darksend". They won't be allowed to change that.
They also won't get any of it until it's finished. By then people will know darkcoin.
I'm not worried Stefana, thought it looked ridiculous to cling on so much to a dead coin. Yes, well... to each his own I guess? I'm actually feeling sad for the last greater fool. Though I might be one of 'em. I actually think DarkCoin is something real. Something here to stay, not just an experiment, though it is indeed an experiment as well, just as Bitcoin is. I've been bending my mother's brain over all this. She has always enjoyed investment and such, so I thought I finally found a topic we could really talk about. She's still wrapping her head around it though, LoL. In her 80's, she is not dismissive, highly intelligent and I can't wait to hear her assessment! But it will take a while, it took me at least a month, LOL. |

what in the fuck is going on today? BTC is bubbling up insanely to 700. Aurora is 65 dollars. Am I dead?
Oh come on SlyA, you know the crypto market is extremely unstable. I hope you're just having fun? If it's upsetting you, seriously, it's going to be this way for a really long time until the crypto coins are more accepted. Just like the stock market in the 20's. And even the stock market goes "crazy" sometimes, albeit with proportionately far less flux. Oh no, I'm not upset. I just woke up and thought it was a glitch. I'm binge watching house of cards right now so I can't be arsed. My dark coins are safe. Can't wait to spend them on something. I saw Auroracoin when it was released, thought it sounded weird. Then I saw it a few days ago when it was added to coinmarketcap @ 3$ a coin at #7 position. Then I read about it and thought that if it's not a scam , it could be amazing. Too bad I didn't put my BTC where my mouth is cause I would have around 175 BTC now. |

I'm adding some DDOS protection, among other improvements to stop attacks. After that we can do some more private beta testing sometime later this week to make sure everything is in order, then we'll release. |

The market is very skittish. with bitcoin rising, it's more expensive to buy dark (if you have to buy bitcoin to buy dark) so is darksend working at the moment?
last thing i heard was there are some ddos problems...
Yes, darksend is working, not at "full capacity" meaning not with all the features that will be implemented, but it's quite good as it is right now  |

Auroracoinscam will soon to coming to a crashing hault (it's already being deemed illegal by the government), so we should be getting the mining and pricing attention we deserve soon.
Oh I am. I have been quietly buying since 0.012. I bought up to 0.019 and am buying on the way down. I think once AUR crashes, the money will flow back in so I am trying to get the cheap DRKs while I can. This is too innovative to not catch on once word gets out. same. +1 |

Yes, darksend is working, not at "full capacity" meaning not with all the features that will be implemented, but it's quite good as it is right now Correct. It's just in beta so of course it's only going to improve. Glad I played the market and made some extra darkcoin |

Hey People ! Just start mining this coin and it's AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can people still be mining other altcoins  ?? I'm consuming 1180W instead of 2420W, all my rigs are cold, and my Hashpower is about 3 times what I get with Scrypt mining. Other Altcoins are like Dinosaures compared to Darkcoin ! I hope it's only the beginning of the Crypto-Dream. Keep on working guys and thanks for this marvelous invention. |

It's #4 in trading volume on cryptsy which means people are actively trading it for profit and loss. It is going to fluctuate. It's at 00175 right now so people that panic sold at 00141 caused themselves losses. While the people that bought can now sell for a profit. |
