Had to give a bump here.

Stratum is NOT flawed. The pool operators are using an inappropriate DIFF1 and so that is why they are experiencing these issues. Scrypt and SHA256 are not affected (Give-Me-Coins pool helped me test it) on 2 open source forks of stratum compatible pool software (stratum-mining and eloipool)

And what if those using this exploit make their own pool?

I think they are not submitting real shares, but taking part of those that submit real shares. Let's say those fake hashes take up 10% of the pool, therefore they get 10% of the payout although they only submit fakes shares that do not contribute to finding a block.

that is correct, its only the pools that are affected, not the miners, so no miners need to do anything, we are working on getting it out to everyone, and im getting lotterymining tested just to be sure that it is fixed

i will repeat again. DIFF1 is not generic it depends on the specific algorithm. it CANNOT be guessed. so until someone figures out what the diff should be for x11 you will still be exploitable
