Does darkcoin network have multipool, big whale, or api bug ?
I have seen hash spike at suchppol(2- 3 GH/s).
Is it hashrate reported by stratum or by the client? Stratum hashrate can be subject to bugs, but can otherwise be accurate (assuming vardiff is let free to adjust, and clients miners report their hashrate often enough). Client hashrate is derived from the delay between blocks, and is wildly inaccurate if not averaged over many blocks, or if there are clock synchronization issue at mining pools (one reason why blocks are chained by their hashes, and why block N+1 can sometime have a reported time that predates block N). (note: it will still result in a difficulty spike, as difficulty is derived from hashrate, which is derived from delay between blocks) redline networkhashps is from client. pool hashrate is from stratum.

Maybe someone could explain why, when mining with the GPU only, the hash rate is abou 880-900 khash, and when I add the CPU mining I see the GPU rate drop to 810-820 khash? If I close minerd, the GPU jumps back to original hash rate in a few seconds

If you are using all CPU cores , you will have lower hash rate on gpu. I use 7 out of 8, and dont have problem

groestl coin use DGW !!
Also Rotocoin and AIRCoin among other coins. Can someone please start a thread in the Alt Section about the coins who are using Darkcoin's innovations? Not try to shame them but really this needs to be pointed out. Dakrcoin isn't an old coin, it is just 2 months since release. Instead of letting it grow and mature, they are just raping the source by doing this.

I agree with you, but then, this is a community-driven coin where most of the work is done by volunteers. So feel free to step up.

In other news....bitcoin is taking a bit of thumping today. There are press rumours that the bank of china is about to stop banks from working with bitcoin / alt-coin exchanges. Some of the exchanges, e.g BTC China, has been taking direct deposits into their bank accounts from customers wanting to buy bitcoin. While some will say bitcoin has gone on sale, we could all be in for a bit of a rough ride. http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-drops-new-chinese-bank-rumours/

I issued the importance of marketing a couple of 10's pages ago but with 0 response to the post. I have mined since before GPU and still mining it. I also pointed around 0.5Gh/s to support the mining of DRK. I'm doing what I can! <3
