Out of interest, what happens if you send / sent a payment with the old wallet?
This practice should be not correct Right? If a payment is sent with the old wallet and is on the wrong fork, all you have to do is update to the latest wallet and the darkcoin will return back to you. Coins do not get lost if there is a hardfork, Bitcoin also had a hardfork..not a big deal lol..Just don't do it. |

If you want to buy huge amounts, then probably an off market purchase is cheapest for you (if someone is willing to sell). Otherwise mintpal.com seems to provide the best experience. |

After I udpated it today, the coins and the transaction appeared. Hard Forks do not loose your coins, they simply "misplace" them, all you have to do is update your wallet to the correct fork and they reappear. This same thing happened to Bitcoin... |

The developers made a big mistake by not updating the website correctly. It still provides the old incorrect wallet version. Where is the darkcoin.io webmaster???

bump sticky!!! come on devs wake up! Just to clarify the www.darkcoin.io links lead to the right wallets. You can do getinfo when you run them and see. They are labeled incorrectl,y a side effect of yesterday's crazyness. Just a typo. And the same links always point to the latest versions. (Or they have so far anyway.) No the links don't always point to the latest versions. 1 hour ago the link was leading to download the 9.4.08 version. A version number 'just a typo'? Come on! That's a HuGE mistake! Here I see people blaming dumb users, what about the developers?? I'm pretty disappointed in the 'drop the ball' attitude. Links have always the latest version, these were only labeled wrongly, I`ve downloaded too were labeled wrongly but after all that was the newest ver. The developers made a big mistake by not updating the website correctly. It still provides the old incorrect wallet version. Where is the darkcoin.io webmaster???

No other coin offers what Darkcoin does. No other coin is putting up a tangible anonymity system for you to use RIGHT NOW. Dark is the first, the best, and these growing pains are a good sign. It means this coin is going places.
In medicine we say that a crying baby is a happy baby. Because if a baby is crying that means it's able to breathe and it has enough energy to be angry.
Just because Darkcoin had a hiccup yesterday doesn't mean anything. It's like the crying baby, sure it's not pleasant at the moment but it's ALIVE AND WELL.
