Thank you  I missed it Lols, I beat Evan to his own release post... ;-) Posted right above my self-quote. Seems that giagantic log file I reported was not an anomaly... I'm pulling correct fork with latest 8.10 binary with data purged and darkcoin.conf as displayed above. Long live not taking a shortcut on my "tail -f ~/.darkcoin/debug.log" - Do not delete it between binary updates, it gives me giant clue in log behavior pattern... |

Since launching masternode payments the network has kept randomly forking. We're not exactly sure what is the cause, but to stop this and restore stability we are going to fork to remove masternode payments. This fork will go into effect Tuesday at 19:00 GMT. ENOUGH WITH ALL THIS MAKE YOUR OWN DIY MASTERNODE CRAP! Look where it has gotten us.
If this is going to work, then before masternode payments come back online there needs to be a hardened and official image release in windows and in linux for a masternode. Also any updates needs to be point and click official masternode updates!
It needs to be guaranteed that there are NOT ROUGE masternodes on old updates or bad setups working together to fork payments.

Still, this is a serious issue right now. I've been on the correct blockchain all this time, and now I seem to be off. So we're still splitting up, which means the exchanges could be all off as well, which means we can't know if any of the trading, etc... is valid until we get the blockchain to settle. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER, BUT ONLY FUCKING NEVER move your crypto during a hard fork! NO! NOT EVER! NEVER! Buying and selling? There aren't even words for that one... Stupid people caused this. I haven't moved my DRK for weeks. Why? My DRK is solid on any chain, because two weeks back, they're all the same... The announcement was made how long ago? THIS!! THIS!! THIS!! People, stop moving the fucking coins around!! Stop Breathe Update. Maybe update again, new versions all the time. Wait for further instructions. You may miss a chance or two of doing some arbitrage. You may also miss getting all us into trouble. |

I fail to see how this would have any impact. I call custom darkcoind implementations on exchanges and pools as the problem. Got goxxed from the other end, so to speak. |

On the contrary, if you need an image it's that you can't run properly a masternode in the first place. e.g An image can't run an update for you. I'm sure that Evan will find a way to kick the "bad" MNs. What's happening now is actually a good thing IMO. |

You cannot guarantee that everyone will play nice. They may do it on purpose - as was mentioned a few pages ago to fuckup the system. The code has to predict that possibility (especially if it is a malicious attack vector) and react accordingly. |
