Please open source
nice try copy-cloner. must be very frustrating to be unable to copy the shit out of some innovation?
at least 50% of your posts are begs to finally open-source drk. lol!
It's easier to copy than create.

Do you remember that :

PoW system
BitcoinQt
blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo algos
CoinJ mixer
Dark Gravity Wave (Kimoto Gravity Well)
Decentralized MasterNode Network
I2P

...existed long before Darkcoin, right ?

That none of these tech where invented by Darkcoin ?

Do you realise that Darkcoin is made from copying (and adapting by changing the name and some settings) others open source technology ?

Hey assholes, you may not have noticed, but the title of the thread is DARKCOIN. Not fricking politics. Call talk radio instead of cluttering this thread with your bullshit.

Lol, really? What an argument. That argument == "search engines existed before Google"..........

And yeah, it's true from one perspective. However, you are missing the part where it'll be open source when its done. It's been said...repeatedly.

back to school and learn what "innovation" is all about

small hint, innovation always stands on ground of previous innovations...

I am not gonna argue will little kids.

I just remind you that Darkcoin is a patchwork of open source technology.

There is nothing to argue about. It's a fact. Deal with it.

A building/house is a patchwork of different technologies too, but it's useful sometimes no ?
Moreover, two distinct builders use cement and bricks, does it mean that their constructions are the same ?

You're correct...nothing to argue about since its currently in development and closed until complete at which point it will be open. The other poster nailed it....wtf is your point?

Oh, I was not expecting someone with a brain here.
Well I reply in this case...

I was pointing at the open source problem. Anyone can copy open-source tech, that's why there is so many altcoins. There are based on Bitcoin.
Sometimes, an altcoin bring something new to the table or at least improve something. Because the altcoin devs used open-source technology from others, they provide their code in return.

Until now, Darkcoin hijacked this circle by not giving back. That explain why some people ask for it.

I was just looking around while I saw the user guanchayuan asking for open source. Everyone got mad and insulted him. I decided to react despite I knew that I was going to be insulted for saying the truth.

little kid? mate, you are 26 and have obv no clue with whom you are arguing with. so i would better stick those rhetoric fallacies somewhere else.

darkSEND and its inner-workings (as it is announcend at the moment) are obv something unseen before. of course it uses other technologies just like bitcoin used itself other technologies. thats how innovation works kid. like i said: back to school.

There is no hijack, the coin is open source, DGW is open source, etc. DarkSend is currently in development therefore not open source yet. The dev team already gave a lot to the community. I don't understand your concern.

mate, you said that darkcoin is just a patchwork of already known code, with "changed name and settings". and thats obv a nice big bullshit.

that guy guanchayuan is just a chinese copy/cloner waiting anxioulsy drk to be opensourced that they can start the copiying process. thats nowhere even close to the intention of opensource as some way of giving and taking.

Why remind us though? No purpose? I think you were making an argument. Otherwise, you are saying you were just thinking to yourself out loud on a darkcoin forum?
Of course it's a fact....no one's debating you. We are saying your comment was obvious and irrelevant.
Obviously you missed the point again.

Lol, the guanchayuan guy has asked 1000000 times and thus, he tends to annoy some people. He has been explained the situation many times and he repeats the same thing over and over.
Maybe you should think and know what you are doing before jumping in.
Context matters.

It will be open sourced, just not yet. If you have to keep arguing, you're probably a troll. Superresistant is a troll. He's heavily invested in Monero. How's that inflation working out for you?

Fine, I didn't know that guanchayuan was asking every single day despite you explained him.

I think the only way to calm down people asking for open source is to give a date of release.

Fair enough.
As for the date though, it's roughly set as after RC5. Still have to complete RC3 and RC4. So, the timeline is difficult to lock down at the moment I think and they want an independent code review first to determine if there are any issues that can be fixed before open sourcing.

I think the goal is to have it locked down and as solid as possible before open source release - so that when everyone takes the tech - it's rock solid and they can't blame Evan and team for any issues and say they didn't do their due diligence on it.

There is a rough timeline available but hard dates so far have been bad for the coin. Until it makes it to RC5, no date can really be set.
