Adam Back of Hashcash fame has pointed out that increased hashrtae per watt means NOTHING
2x hashrate > 2x difficulty = status quo
Algos should have interesting properties, not mere "efficiencies"

I would add that X11 MAY prove to be the weakest element of DRK
I do not believe CHAINING algos was necessarily the right move
Time will tell I guess

XC is going to be very successful in the coming weeks, competent dev who knows what needs to be done, with a solution that works, fair node system, only 550 XC required to run one. I sold all my DRK before prices crashed and i bought XC on its all time low when all the FUDsters from DRK trolled the XC thread, now ive doubled my money! Way to go XC team, and thanks to the DRK community for making all this possible! |

Sounds like a golden scam wrapped up in an amazing presentation. On their site it says the only way to get the coin is to mine it yet they list no pools.. I call BS too easy to fake linkedin profiles and buy followers.. |

Not spreading fud, just asking a serious question: What is this neutrino coin thing? Comes up out of nowhere and also promises some kind of anonimity. DRK better than them? Do we have tor? Looks like they mean serious business, almost too 10 on coinmarketcap already.
It doesn't do shit. All it does atm is address the possibility of linking transactions to IP addresses. Any bitcoin fork can be used via Tor easily as well. |

Have you bothered skimming the "whitepaper"? It's ridiculous! It's basically another paper on how Tor works or maybe even copied from a Tor paper. The entire "whitepaper" can be crunched into 1 sentence: They use Tor and further claim to be planning to implement what's written in this paper. |

WHAT DOES COLD WALLET MASTERNODE MEANS. It means that the server that is running as a Masternode has 0 coins in its wallet.dat so there is 0 risk of loosing coins. We start a masternode like this, you need to use a second computer, normally your local computer at home. You run the darkcoind application in your local computer, you indicate in the darkcoin.conf file in the local computer masternodeaddr=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999 (put in your public IP address here from your remote machine) This indicates the network that your local machine with the 1000DRK is vouching for the remote masternode with 0 DRK. After that you take your local wallet offline, make several backups of your wallet.dat and as long as you dont move the coins from that address your remote masternode with 0DRK keeps running and making you money. If you use the wallet on your home pc for the 1000 drk and masternode fund, then can you still use the wallet? Or can you have a seperate wallet on the same pc? Sorry, I'm a bit noob on this issue still. In a way the wallet.dat file in your PC is the wallet. What I do is I start a fresh client with new wallet.dat, encrypt it, send the 1000 drk to the first address and use it forr activating the masternode. Then I backup that wallet.dat in several mediums and erase it from my home computer keeping it completely cold. Then you can open the client again with a different wallet.dat that has nothing to do with the one you used to start your masternode, so you can have many, but only one open at a time and should be really careful with your backups and renaming the wallet.dat's appropiately so you dont confuse them.
