I can't believe that, and just $15. this is miserable, even for the cheapest and worst developers in poor countries.

The basic school education should include a class like math and science about how to detect bad product Advertising (on tv, radio, news, social networking, etc) and basic manipulations.

Some countries do not permit TV advertising targeting children (detractors say "right to free speech"). In USA and many other countries, you are free to do that, Just image what you can do, and how much money you can get.

 Here's an idea.
Create the scammiest coin that looks the least scammiest of all, then donate everything to charity.
Basically, opening a market pair Stupidity/Philantropy.
The one who donates the most, wins.

http://www.fluttercoin.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6-13-2014-Press-Release.pdf

FlutterCoin going to 3000+ Satoshi's as they release Anonymity features.  Grin

Quote
Anonymous Transactions

Though there has been much debate over the need for anonymous transactions, the Fluttercoin
team feels it is a necessity to prevent theft via targeted attacks on individuals, and abuse of block
chain paper trail by banks, criminals and corporations. One of the worries is that in the future,
these entities will track addresses used for payment, which combined with any known personal
data obtained via sale or customer record, will allow them to watch transactional activity
allowing a new avenue for targeted advertising, spam, or even theft.

By default, all transactions are traceable, and the recipient of a transaction must generate and
provide an anonymous address in order for the sender to initiate an anonymous transaction. An
anonymous transaction cannot be initiated unless the recipient is willing – which should calm the
fears of governments and those worried that anonymous transactions could be used for money
laundering and criminal activity.

Please tell me when and how they plan on implementing them. Seems like 100% bullshit fluff to me. Typical scam coin.

Just to be clear, that was everything the linked paper noted about annonymous transactions, I didn't selectively leave anything out.

I'm holding some older generation coins that I wish would announce "plans to add anonymity" so I could unload my bags when they inevitably pump.

Ewww, another anon offering. Good thing I used this as an opportunity to get more DRK. From 340 to 545. I figured the announcement would have been something more. Not what appears to be stealth addresses.

https://twitter.com/thekidcoin Screenshots of the coming Anonymous Send feature. The Dev is proven to innovate, it was the first coin with Proof of Transaction.
PoT is 100% a feature solving a made up problem.

Like the worst startups, instead of finding a real problem and solving it, they make a problem themselves, and then solve it.

This image you speak of: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BqBaJWSCcAEbbZO.jpg:large, is not even the slightest bit of evidence. It would take maybe 2 minutes, including compile time, to add a checkbox and label to the form saying "Anonymous Transaction."

That coin is going nowhere.

I actually believe that too. But having all the FUDsters come in here desperately trying to spam and discredit DRK ended up in completely backfiring and blowing XC widely open as technically flawed.

Maybe he could get in touch with Evan and join the team?

What to expect from DRK in the next few weeks

The notion that has been floating around today hinting that DRK is near its peak price is very short-sighted. I am really not expecting a big rise with RC3, but it is very important to regain the market's confidence after the fork issues of the last attempt to implement masternode payments. Also exchanges, merchants and investors won't make any real move before the fork is implemented successfully. The masternode network is the foundation for Proof of Service and has a lot more applications beyond anonymity.

So I am more interested in RC3 solidifying DRKs position as anonymity market leader. When RC3 goes live and masternode operators start reporting on their gains more masternodes will join in, is only logical. The way the debugging was done to clean up RC3 was very transparent and professional anyone can go to darkcointalk.org and see the process and it is clear where we are from a technical perspective and that we are not hiding when we find issues but rather dealing with them openly and that sends a very positive message to investors.

The most important thing is after the 20th the development team's attention will go back to anonymity, by mid July we should have a better idea of what are the anonymity enhancements that Evan has planned for Darkcoin. How original and effective these enhancements are will be debate material and should draw additional media attention towards DRK.  I think the weeks before RC4 could be the last chance of buying DRK at affordable price levels.  Only after Darkcoin is peer reviewed and open sourced the adoption phase can start and a big rise should be expected.

One major milestone could be SilkRoad 2.0 or other Tor markets accepting DRK, but this wont happen before it is open sourced and they can verify the code themselves is only logical. But when they do and if Evans code is strong we will be starting a completely different game. So selling your DRK's before open-source is silly, specially with the track record of the development team.

Darkcoin's Competition

Darkcoin has a clear first-mover advantage and this is how I see the competitive landscape. Darkcoin started this journey 6 months ago and has been developing at a very aggressive pace, eventually the market noticed and we had our first big rise in price after weeks of being in the shadows. This produced a lot of speculative hype and catalyzed the market creating an opportunity for others to claim similar features.

With a lot of people feeling they missed the dark train they started to invest in any coin with anonymity claims in the hopes of seeing a similar price behavior. Then we saw two types of coins come up either complete scams or coins with honest intentions in the long run, but misrepresenting the stage of development they were in. And all these coins fall into one of these two categories Vericoin, Dreamcoin, Libertycoin, X11coin, Cloakcoin, Monero, Pinkcoin, Neutrino, Cryptcoin.

Lets just not talk about the scams, the ones with real intentions were claiming to be either at the same stage of development or beyond Darkcoin in just a few weeks. The market needed to know if this was true and a lot of people decided to take a risk and see, but time quickly took care of the scams and the others were proven to be either completely flawed or at a very early stage of development.  So now that the hype is dying coins really need to deliver true and proven value if they want to challenge DRK, but this requires true skill and if anything it will take a lot of time, so if Darkcoin does not relax and continues its aggressive development it can easily retain its first mover advantage and remain the market leader. This means that Darkcoin's future is in the hands of Darkcoin while serious competitors need to wait for a serious problem in camp Darkcoin if they want to win some time and close the gap. So as long as Evan and his team continues to deliver Darkcoin should have a bright future.

Please stop and don't tell that

We don't need a war with XC and you can't know if XC is a scam or not... you don't know... you have no proof and you can't affirm.

Peoples have the right to choose between dark or xc, or both.

Argggg, why do people want to lay anon technology out as only for a means of conducting illegal business?  There are so many other reasons for private transactions that don't involve breaking laws.

"We" don't need a war with XC? You are an XC supporter by the looks of your sig, so that's pretty silly.

Also, he's welcome to say whatever he wants; this is an open forum. If someone doesn't like it, they can report it if they desire.

That's the problem, yourself.
You seem to have a problem with the FBI but also with the liberty of the people to use XC.

Maybe their devs need time, we are here since 6months ago.

-_-

you know why i put XC in my sig? because when i talk in the XC thread people like you are telling me "your sig promote another coin than XC so you come here to fud"

Sorry guys... i'm on darkcoin since the first day, read my history :s
I will put darkcoin in my sig now... "crypt" and "xc" is "new anonymous coin" like my sig said.

I just want stop this stupid war.

edit: i added darkcoin in my sig, like you can see.

Careful XC anonymous coin is a scam
