Past week's volume was lackluster.

Today, up on strong volume.  Impressive to say the last.  I wouldn't hold a short position going into tomorrow.

I'm still scratching my head at the people selling considering the volume we have today and no reason we shouldn't power through right up until the fork (AND HOPEFULLY IMMEDIATELY AFTER!)

These people are selling because they are afraid the hard fork will go wrong again and will make the price plummet. Looks like they are unaware of the massive testing and bug fixing sessions that have happened the past weeks.

UNSURE ABOUT WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FOR FRIDAY'S HARD FORK?

You must update to the latest version, anyway, here is a guide on what to do depending on whether you are a regular user, masternode op, pool op, exchange, etc. Please visit and make sure you update soon.

New wall appeared. They keep coming.

Before anyone posts that they are "scratching their heads....", the reason these walls keep appearing is because we are retracing a previously trodden path where lots of people lost a great deal of money. They don't want their fingers burnt again and just want out at all costs regardless of what 'fork' is round the corner (known as "resistance").

It's just standard fare for any asset going back up after a crash. Remember, nearly 200,000 DRK were bought ABOVE 0.021 and all those people are sitting at an aggregate loss of about 4500 BTC.

Although much of that resistance has already come out since the all time high, don't get too disappointed if it doesn't go sky high from day 1 of RC3.

There's probably still quite a bit of bulldozing to be done.

Yeah I know if I wanted to sell off a large amount, for whatever reason, without lowering the price much then now would be the time I'd do it.  The people selling now probably know they wont be rebuying lower.

Wall pulled.

People having second thoughts - or, they've pulled it to encourage the liquidity to come back up and then they're going to dump from off order book.

That's exactly why I don't daytrade. Nobody lost anything UNLESS they sold. I bought on the fundamentals at .02 and still hold.

The 15 minute wave's just turning over now.

We'll have an hour or two of subtle correcting before any resumption of action.

Am holding steady as well,
daytrading is total madness and way out of my league !
it will rise (if RC3 goes well), no question
but probably more cautious than last time !
we will peak for sure, but that might take a bit longer than many people think.
Better slow (and save) than never !
Keep it coming ….>

I think it's going to be a feeding frenzy, with everyone trying to get their MNs. Remember, a lot of ROI calculations are messed up from the 80% ghost node problems. (People think that there were more nodes than there actually were, leading to lower ROI figures.)

Anyone knows what Evan has been up to lately? If not, my guess is that he is preparing a sick announcement for RC4 tomorrow after hard fork.

Given the path that we followed from alpha-beta etc, usually stuff related to DarkSend were first tested on testnet to check them out for problems... I doubt RC4 will go online straight away as without testing it might break existing functionality. It's a 50mn coin right now, you can't just put large updates without test. But even when it was 1-2mn coin, we still went the testnet route first. So probably we'll first see a call for testing RC4 features, when some of these are ready, and then => RC4 announcement.

As for price, I recommend keeping some cash in reserve to chew panic sellers if something goes wrong. No matter how well tested it is, masternode payments are a big hack to the protocol and they may still present problems. This is not FUD, it's just the way it is regarding such fundamental changes. Let's say the right attitude this time round is "cautiously optimistic".
