Where is the press release for RC3? Has the team contacted coindesk to write a new article now that masternode payments are working? Seems like word has not spread. Darkcoin team, please add a PR person.

Three times the charm, I'm asking again What is the safest way to upgrade darkcoind on masternodes? Is there any inline procedure that won't break the link with the remote wallet?

Got another salary. Can we please have the price decline to 0.016 one last time? Last time, I promise, I need to buy one more load of coins.
There's barely any DRK on sale anymore. A paltry 2 masternodes in the entire order book on Mintapaeleous.

Simple. Just do it. And if doing a local.cold/remote setup, you actually only need to do it on the server side. Just be sure to stop darkcoind before upgrading to avoid errors.

Here's what I basically did: (Remote node in /usr/bin) ************************************ darkcoind stop sudo rm darkcoind wget http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc/darkcoindchmod 755 darkcoind darkcoind start ************************************ You don't need to touch your cold wallet or local masternode. EDIT: I think I actually might have downloaded it to ~/.darkcoin and then mv'd it into /usr/bin after deleting the old one.

My guess is that the team wants to fix any problems that might be showing up in the debug logs (like releasing xx.5 yesterday) and possibly even wait until enforcement goes smoothly before declaring success so publicly.

I think Evan is going to be heavy on the PR after RC4. I dont think RC3 should be shouted about at the moment since its more like a public testing.

Ok I guess I was not so lucky last upgrade , some nodes lost their connection, I had to regenerate masternode priv key Thanks

Yep... there is nothing to write about. It's debugging the system before *really* getting activated with the network enforcing the rules which are programmed into it. Consider the payments right now as a bonus, but it's not how the network should be operating. It will operate according to spec in the future, when everything is sorted out from the testing/debugging phase. No PR needed at this stage.

+1 we should wait for it to be entirely bulletproof It would be a bad PR move to be public about something still barely tested that could still easily go awry at this point Payments are working but still not 100% enforced for some pools furthermore

That wouldn't be appropriate until enforcement successfully launches.

And an unbelievable opportunity to buy cheap DRKs

If they can (try) to do it with drugs, they can certainly (try) to do it with cryptos. Not that crypto's are drugs, but certainly addictive 1 - Regulates Bitcoin as MSB – Bitcoin dealing, more specifically referred to as “dealing in virtual currencies” in Bill C-31, will be subject to the record keeping, verification procedures, suspicious transaction reporting and registration requirements under the PCMLTFA as a money services business.
2 - Does not define “dealing in virtual currencies” - The phrase “dealing in virtual currencies” was left undefined and it is not known what the defined term will encompass in terms of business activities once defined by regulation. Seriously? LOL

Part of the code is closed-source, yes. But only for some time. We are now on RC3 version, then RC4... then the developer will get top names to verify the code, and then will release everything open-source. Darkcoin works right now! But the full power of Darkcoin is still to come. He is only protecting his baby. RC4 is 2 or 3 weeks away, according to planned roll-out
