I understand that my opinion is quite irrelevant (perhaps more relevant than others' opinions since I am one of the biggest investors) and that getting things perfect is more important than things like timings, momentum and communication, especially on the long run. However, facts are that we do have competitors and they are moving fast.

No official announcement from team for 6 days (ignoring anything that doesn't directly or indirectly comes from Evan) is quite weak at this stage of the project.

I understand that distractions are undesired when trying to focus (especially when programming complicated stuff) but even a 'all is fine I've made a lot of progress the past week and will continue to do so' sign of life would be massive for investors. That takes 2 seconds to write.

Even though I'm voicing these concers, I'm continuing to bag hold as a big supporter of the project.

How much have you got? I was thinking a while ago who the biggest investors in darkcoin are before buying.

This is actually very relevant, bitcoin has very rich sponsors and this is a major reason for its success.

Also no idea why we know those bitcoin investors but in other coins it is considered top secret. Come on

I wouldn't invest in any coin long term that doesn't release the source code especially if they are claiming features such as anonymity. That's what most of these coins are, claims, and the only thing that is going to separate the winners now is audits anyone not willing to do the audits should be considered a scam unless they have a very good reason.

Iam also having the same problem ,i re installed windows 8.1 today and tried to synchronize the wallet but it keeps saying ( No block source available/0 active connections to darkcoin network)  tried the forums but it din't help .

Its been proposed since forever. We even got word gmaxwell would do it himself. Kristov mentioned he wouldnt mind at all. The more the merrier!
This is the only coin, 6 months old, apart BTC and LTC to get paired up on Bitfinex, DRK/ USD !

The only one with true innovation in it. The smart people get it why.

The difference here is to send out the challenge to every project to make the same commitment - and to an agreed standard, not just to some random guy off the internet who acts like a rent-an-expert who will do or say what is required as long as they get paid or a piece of the action.

A recognised independent expert or experts. Projects don't even need to be finished, Work in progress is fine and the commitment backed up some BTC.

These days the markets expect pre-announcing announcements and building up hype step-by-step. It's simply psychology, there are other people around these days than those who were originally interested in crypto and knowledgeable enough to evaluate themselves.

What we need are coordinated activities to push darkcoin forward while technical work goes on. Technical work and innnovation will always be required. What do we do, watch the price go up and down between technical releases? Get real. There is a lot of value here, its just not being applied in the right way.

Hopefully, people don't point out that this was started on darkcointalk, with not much activity. It needs to be coordinated here on separate threads, but through the central team as an approval process on any recommendations from any activity.

Hi, first off, let me say, I never thought it would go as low as it has.  I dont' invest, only did in this coin because I really believe in Evan's abilities and vision.  I'm not going to say anything like don't invest more than you can afford to lose, because frankly I did the same thing.  I have to pay a big bill I've avoided 2 months now.  I can't avoid it much longer and have about 2 days left.  I will have to sell then no matter what.  And I was hoping this would help me get out of dept.  So I sort of feel your pain.  BUT!

Ok, look, hold on.  First of all, are you under pressure right now to sell, like I am?  If not, take a deep breath.  Please read on.

Cryptos are extremely volatile, even Bitcoin is.  I can not promise you the moon, but I'm very confident in saying you will see your price again, if not higher.  I know it's scary, and that there is a whole band of crypto manipulators out there that are trying to lower the price as much as they can so they can make fast money on the coin.  Believe me, those are the same people who will pump it again as soon as Evan announces, pretty much anything.  They literally pump money like they're squeezing the life out of your heart.  BUT PLEASE!

For your family's sake, please don't dump it now at the low.  I would understand if this were another coin, especially ones that have been proven not to work (at all) or have fatal flaws.  Dark doesn't have fatal flaws, just kinks to work out and Evan, our main developer, is brilliant.

I do not trade.  I only care about the price right now because I'm going to end up selling at a loss due to the fact I absolutely need the money.  Wish I had sold it now a month ago.  I never would have thought the price would get this low.  But the rest of my coins, I will hold, I'll only sell as much as I absolutely have to.

God, I know you must be going through hell, I'm so sorry!  But I'm begging you to be careful.  Right now, you must admit you're in a panic.  DON'T PANIC!  Nothing good comes from panicking!  Darkcoin is NOT going away.  It's an amazing coin, honestly, it is!  The privacy issue is a real issue that must be solved and Darkcoin is millimeters from the goal.  I have nothing to gain by your holding, only trying to minimize your loss and hopefully help your get your money back.  I have to go, I'm sorry, gotta leave.  But follow Toknormal, listen to him please, he is smart!  Toknormal help this guy please!  I'm so sorry people are waiting on me, got to go!
