f logs in an exchange and decides that today is a good day to place a buy order for 0.20479 DRK.

That's "granular DRK" - the favourite of robot traders  Wink

Plus 2000 additional MasterNodes mean minus 2.000.000 DRKs out from the market (number of coins issuing approximately for 2 nearest years) - so more than a half of all coins will be «locked» into MasterNodes.

Strongest deflation - prices to the moon Smiley

DRK was launched without the perfect miner, and no one who can make one isn't releasing/selling it, so what's the point of mulling over it endlessly?

This is Wolf0 celebrating his latest photoshop 'screenshot' of his secret X11 algo running at 3.4TH on his ATI Rage Pro.

If you don't share your algos, noone cares so shut the fuck up.

Aww, a jealous little hater. Cute. If I thought you actually didn't believe me, I'd offer to show you live stats - but of course you probably do know it's legit, and would pretend not to for the sake of trying to troll me.

The point is you claim to have optimized the x11 algo and you won't sell/share with the community - that part I can deal with. But having to read your 400 posts per day about how amazing you are for doing that is getting slightly fucking tedious especially when people like djm34 and the darkcoin gpu dev do stuff for a few donations and share it and don't go around shouting about it.  Its not exactly in the spirit of crypto and you are fucking annoying lol.

This is great and all, but have you measured  the power usage? I would need a 300% increase in speed, with no increase in power just to break even mining dark with my farm and I'm only paying$ 0.11/kwh. There is nothing to mine at a profit right now, I'm running a slight loss (5%) at the moment.

Europol has issued a new report on Internet crime in which it outlined a number of scenarios involving bitcoin.

Called the Internet Organised Crime Threat Assessment (iOCTA), the report examines the use of bitcoin on various dark web sites, by organised crime and individual actors, and calls digital currencies an ‘enabler’ for cryber-criminals and a challenge for law enforcement.

However, it makes a clear distinction between bitcoin and digital currencies designed with true anonymity in mind, like darkcoin, warning:

“We feel it should concern everyone that the latest cyber currencies are intended to be truly anonymous and to facilitate anonymous transactions. We face a situation where law enforcement may be completely unable to trace even very large criminal transactions.”

2489 DRK shot waiting for takers @ 652 but bids outnumbering asks by 2:1 says that market thinks the price is going to fall and traders are lining up for the fat-finger bargain of the day.

4 hour MACD seems to agree and is still diverging although it could be a miss-signal as the 1-hour is having a go being third time lucky at breaking back to the upside. American office workers across the country getting home now and stumbling over the whirlwind of coindesk, cointelegraph and other's take on the latest phase of DRK evolution with open sourcing.

They hold the key to what will happen next.

Everyone else who has it (all two or three of them, lol), won't release it, and I don't know that because I trust them, I know that because for each of the testers, I have leverage, and while I may not trust the farmer himself, I trust that because of his wealth and farm size that he is a rational actor. The deal we have, I created with a single major goal in mind: As long as the miner is financially beneficial to me, it is equally so to him. I made it mathematically impossible for me to benefit from it while he doesn't, or worse, loses out. Because of this, I only need to trust he is a rational actor to come to the conclusion he will continue to pay me as well as keep the miner to himself. Obviously, ceasing payment would backfire hard as I would release the miner, causing his extra profit to disappear, and publishing the miner himself would be completely irrational.

I'm not a greedy moron that goes around selling it to any stranger with money - and it's probable that any others are at least as careful, if not more, than I. So, leaks are out of the question, the likelihood of them being small enough to round down to zero.

Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Give it time, eventually FPGA's will be introduced and then sold. Once the first one goes out, more will follow. Eventually creating someone to create an ASIC for x11 mining.

DRK mining via FPGA has been available (sporadically) for about 4 months now at LTC Gear... which means there's likely been private farms doing it for much longer than that... my opinion has always been that whatever is available to the average Joe is already outdated...

so FYI insinuating djm34 has withheld code for his benefit without any proof is technically dissing him.  please just stop the verbal diarrhea, confused rhetoric and trumpet blowing about your alleged optimized algo, this is the dark thread...........

PIC

Who the f logs in an exchange and decides that today is a good day to place a buy order for 0.20479 DRK.

miners with old hardware who are still trying to scratch a few DRK out of their mining equipment by mining shitcoins on some pool and selling them on a daily basis for a few fractions of a DRK.
Been there, done that. Now xpool.ca does that for me. :-)

Last time I used a kill-a-watt with this machine, it melted and I had to get a new one, so I'm not exactly itching to do it again. What I do know is that temps on 7950 and 280X have only gone up 2C.

Temps aren't a good gauge of increase in wattage. Sure, higher wattage will generate higher temps but there isn't a good factor method to say oh, I went up 2 degrees, that's 50 watts. I'd be interested to see where your wattage usage is at given your optimizations, although I do have to agree, it is getting a bit old seeing posts in regards to your optimizations. Good on ya for doing it but I think at this point, we all get it.

Have 2 things to say:

1) 20% MN payment is obviously too little to attract 2000 MNs and equally obviously - 25% won't make a big difference. How about we start with 50% and adjust upward or downward based on the result? The hashrate will drop by 20-70% which is NOT an issue as there are coins with 1% of DRK hashrate that still perform well in terms of securing the coin.

2) MN IP obfuscation - wouldn't it be easy to identify MN IP addresses by running NMAP against Microsoft/Amazon/VULTR VPS'es checking which ones are running services at port 9999?

There is no fpga listed there. So far an x11 fpga is only a rumor.

Absolute FUD with zero proof. Ridiculous one would be out so soon.
