As I said earlier, we should maybe think of changing to a new algo.. Evan said that he would change algo when asics were possible, FPGA's are hurting this coin, this dumping is just insane.

We would be better with scrypt or sha256, at least their asics are in the market, but a new cpu/gpu algo would be better...

I must have missed that. Do you have a link to Evan saying that?

Hello !

I'm a small miner running three radeon 280x GPU. I'm getting 4194 Kh/s from one card. I'm using sgminer on linux. Should I look for an updated miner or do not touch?
I'm mining on multipools (mostly on yaamp.com pool), get the BTC and buy DRK with it.

Any suggestions?
can anyone give me a github link to an updated sgminer so I can download an compile and run.

hi you do well...
stop mining on this multipool and change it to xpool.ca they pay drk insted of btc Wink

*********** Amber Alert **************

Interesting morning coming up for Darkcoin as Mr Draghi is getting ready to talk and he's running out of ammo to combat Euro deflation.

Remember folks - it's no longer factories that make economies work, it's central banks. The numbers is all that matters and in that respect, Fiat's pain is crypto's gain.

The EU Mediterranean countries' GDP's want to relax themselves back to 2006 levels but Mr Draghi CANNOT LET THAT HAPPEN because that would send their Debt to GDP ratios into orbit and herald the return of the fabled ESDC (European Sovereign Debt Crisis). Interest rates are at an all time low so only bazooka left in the armoury is, you guessed it, the bankers all time favourite - Euro QE !!

Japan did it, the US did it so why cant we ? Lets crank up the presses and bury ourselves in overlevered guvpaper. Only problem is, who is not going to like that solution too much ? The Germans. They are not too keen on overlevered guvpaper even though it may provide a temporary boost for the wheelbarrow sector.

The German central bank is still owed the best part of half a trillion euros from the rest of the Eurozone via imbalances in the target2 system. They also do a good deal of trade with Europe's new pet bad boy - Mr Putin and his Chinese partners in "crime", not to say the import of quite some oil and gas quantities from said same "evil" vendor.

We might find that particular medicine needing a couple heapfulls more sugar to go down than it did when the Bernank administered it. All the same, the PTB know it's going to take more than Julie Andrews which is why they quietly wrote a handy "bailin" clause into the Mastericht treaty in case things get tricky (which they are about to get).

Why does Darkcoin fit into all this ?

Because we are a clam living on a whale's back and that whale is Bitcoin swimming in a Fiat ocean. Except this whale is an amphibian and upon the Ocean's demise it will simply grow a pair of legs and carry on as normal while all around it flounders.

Action starts in about half an hour.

There are so many wrong things with European economies that it is difficult to know where to start. Trying to cook the books with banking tricks will not work at some time in the near future. Other areas are also doing terribly wrong things and I believe that fiat is a dead end, but at least in the US or Asia there is some economic activity.

To me this graph by The Economist from a couple years ago explains the reality of Europe very well:

Full article:
http://www.economist.com/node/21559618

TL;DR - Europe doesn't create fast growing innovative companies any more, it lives from the past glory. Only 12 European companies in FT500 were founded after 1950. For the same period of time the US has 52.

I've tried xpool.ca but it seems less profitable there. I get 0.003 or 0.004BTC average on my rig with 4 GPU (three 280x and one 270) total 15500Kh/s.

Maybe I confused with other coin... I'm not mining anyway.. In Portugal it we pay more than $0.3 kWh

Code:
    Vb11 ^= hash->h8[3] ^ W11 ^ W91;
    if(Vb11 <= target) output[atomic_inc(output+0xFF)] = SWAP4(gid);

Make sure that closing brace is still there. Also, I could have typo'd or some shit, I just typed this into the message box now. Tongue

REMOVE EVERY FILE ENDING IN .BIN

Seriously. If you don't, the miner will find the bin file it has already compiled, containing the stock code, and then your chances of seeing any increase besides imaginary ones are about nil.

This is hardly a real optimization - it's more of something I did immediately to raise hashrate - even if the compiler DID catch it, it's just stupid code.

Have fun.

So no one decided to post results? Hashrate before/after? Hell, worked/didn't?

I'mma go do it in a bit, then.
[/quote]
i've done it  :-),,,
I have never even looked at a .cl file

looking good
my previous combined Hrate was id=3 - X11  =     20.81 after 1 hour
i am now looking at 20.93  after 12min's

in my experience it don't go down over time
so it work's better, if so after 1 hour i'll use it thank's ,,,,, [sorry wolf0 but it's a tough world]
na i'll delete it really LOL

Hello Everyone!

Today, September 29, 2014 Darksend was completely open sourced. This means that we’re no longer going to be using the “release candidate” labels and we’re considering Darksend to be stable enough to leave beta. Also, the development community can come together to improve and refine Darksend, build backends that utilize it and enhance the Masternode technology adding even more functionality.

We’ve been busy the last few weeks working on development plans for the next six to twelve months and we’re happy to announce these today.

Masternode Hardening

To build a network that can withstand attacks, the masternodes must not publish their IPs. To do this we’re going to utilize a new multipath communication technology. This will add another layer of privacy to the system as it will allow users to communicate with the network securely without exposing their IPs and will also hide the identity of the Darksend mixing nodes making it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for third parties to spy on users information.

It uses multi-path routing so users can send more than one encrypted message using different routes on the mesh network for redundancy. This will allow us quick communication, robustness and anonymous two way communication.

The diagram below shows the new system in action:

We’re currently building the foundation for instant transactions and other secret projects that we’re not ready to announce yet. We’ll see you on testnet soon!

The Darkcoin Development Team

How's that keeping the X11 miner optimization talk in its own thread going or should we just rename the thread and continue on?

NO PLEASE don't rename the thread I like the name !
 Dont worry I think the mining talk is maybe just a phase that will find it's cycle, it's nice though to unexpectedly have the connection with mining brought here;

I mean is mining DRK not got anything to do with the promotion of DRK?

It was sarcasm about renaming the thread. Point being, talking about optimizing a miner that works on any X11 coin is best left to a topic in and of itself. Evan and the development team aren't coding these optimizations...

DRK investors watching world markets closely.

As Draghi pulls the rug from under European stocks by announcing his "Asset Buying Program" (read 'Panic Hosedown of sovereign bonds and MBS to compensate for no-growth-zone shrinkage dynamics cos-we-don't-know-what-else-to-do), Spanish and Italian stock markets loose more participants in 2 hours than DRK did in a month from "selling the news" syndrome.

That makes 1 less place for the money to run to.

Crypto now manoeuvring itself into position to pick up floating survivors of impending stock-bond-interest rate tripartheid pincer movement on worldwide wealth.
