This is like saying I don't want to use Kitchen knives to be used for murder. DRK coin is a tool, and the use of any tool is dependent on a specific person. A gun can be used for 'relative' good, or 'relative' bad, depending on which side of the gun do you stand.
It is absolutely NOTHING like that. I never said don't use Darkcoin. I said people shouldn't be happy or say it's "good news" because a website selling Class A drugs can now do so anonymously. What the heck does that have to do with kitchen knives? Was just an absurd comparison that its also just a tool. A tool is not responsible for what you do with it.

Oh hey guys some 16 year old can now anonymously order heroin to fuel his addiction and end up overdosing and killing himself! And Bitcoin rose $1000 because of it! Great news!

So do you hate bitcoin too because of its past?
Are you really that delusional about the human's mentality?
Stay for the tech, not the people.
I don't hate Bitcoin or Darkcoin or any other cryptocurrency. I think they are incredible tools that have unfortunately (so far) mostly been misused by people for greed in one form or another. I was simply stating I find it shallow to say it's good news that drug dealers will start using your currency. To me that's fucking bad news. I don't want those scumbags using it. I want people who value freedom of speech and privacy adopting it. That's why I believe in Darkcoin and I why I invested into it It's a necessary stepping stone unfortunately... A little bit of pain now for a lot of goodness later, see it that way... I'm more curious with the title I saw on Bloomberg TV "Bloomberg: Can Bitcoin/Darkcoin Stocks Hold Up Against the Feds?"I found it quite interesting that they are turning it into a competition. Are they trying to nip crypto in the bud early with a Heroes and Villains angle? Making Crypto the Villain and polarize opinion so they can be the Hero?

Was just an absurd comparison that its also just a tool. A tool is not responsible for what you do with it.
And we have regulations and rules in place as a society to prevent such tools ending up in the hands of people who don't know how to use or control them properly. Okay some rules go too far and some wrongfully infringe on our rights, but you can't seriously be suggesting we should be selling Class A drugs to anyone who wants them, regardless of age or standing. I mean that's essentially what these sites provide. A fucking savvy 13 year old can now order cocaine to their parent's house and his/her parents would probably be none the wiser. Oh but hey... It's all in the name of freedom so it's okay!

To sum up recent events of the past 24 hours:1) Leak of possible merge between DRK & SDC, discussed by the community, Evan pulled the plugs. ( cancelled) 2) Rumor of OKCoin.com adding DRK on their (FIAT) exchange. 3) DRK featured on FOX 26 news (6-nov-2014): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YQnYpc52ks4) DRK discussed on Bloomberg TV (6-nov-2014): http://www.businessweek.com/videos/2014-11-06/can-bitcoin-stocks-hold-up-against-the-feds5) Evas testing first InstantX (INSTANT) transaction successfully in ~2 SECONDS: I just got multiple masternodes to form consensus, lock inputs, literally took 2 seconds to lock the transaction in place... then I tried to spend the same inputs for a higher fee. Works!

The cryptocurrency community is full of fucking hypocrites.
They will moan all day about how the $ is fake and not real money, but then scream in joy like little children when their crypto increases in dollar value.
They will act all high and mighty pretending they stand for justice and what's right in the World, but then bend over for the chance to support and provide a service to some of the lowest forms of life on the planet (drug dealers). And no I'm not talking about pot, I'm talking about the heavy duty shit that literally ruins the lives of millions.

And there's a reason why alcohol is illegal to drink unless you're over 18 in most countries. And no I'm talking about heavy duty shit that you get addicted to from the first time you take it. Google krokodil, look at some of the images and then get back to me with your "alcohol" arguement

Thankfully they're not and probably never will be. There is enough misery and suffering in the World. We don't need crystal meth to be legal thank you. I do think those who are already addicted should be treated like they have a medical condition though and not forced to break the law to get their fix

But not just yet, eh, I want a bit more real world use for DRK first. Some lunatic somewhere will always be fighting a War On Something though, until we learn to identify and strangle the reptiles and politicians at birth. Plenty of things will remain illegal for the forseeable future. lucas you need to think a bit more about your stance on drugs. Prohibition doesn't work, never has, never will, and having the market underground just greatly adds to the harm, not only to users, but to our whole society.

If SDC devs are so great why I have not heard of the coin and why they cost $ 0.066? I don't fully understand why we have to merge. Sound like trouble.
I agree, SDC community is sucks. DRK's dev was after the SDC tech, not the community. It certainly wasn't for anonymity, we already have that. I agree again. SDC isn't anon yet and never will be. This is what will happen when zerocash zk will released in 2016 If SDC devs are so great why I have not heard of the coin and why they cost $ 0.066? I don't fully understand why we have to merge. Sound like trouble.
I agree, SDC community is sucks. DRK's dev was after the SDC tech, not the community. Are you talking about the fake html5 wallet?
or about the never sync mobile wallet? Please let's not start troll war in DRK thread. We've had enough of that in the past already. much respect illodin. Great Drk plug on the newscast. Really is very funny to read this written by you two, who together spreading fud and troll in all other communities. Shows how far can reach hypocrisy. Are you guys trying to hide that sdc is a shitcoin that has nothing to offer for darkcoin community? SDC isn't anon and never will be. Another "features" are just vaporware and lies.
