10% drop in the last 24 hours alone and just $30,000 trading volume.

What a fucking joke.
You not wrong even Urocoin (the shit coin literally) is hashing higher i think

The fucking price talk again? Dude, take a look at bitcoin's price. We all know current downtrend is not about Darkcoin. When bitcoin tanks, it affects all coins. Darkcoin has stayed on top10 for months and still is there. Just grow up and do something if you want the price to go up. Go write emails to Chinese exchanges, convince them they should adopt drk trading, make a promotion youtube video for Darkcoin and post it on social networks, email to bitcoin merchants, ask them to accept Darkcoin etc. Price doesn't go up magically. It goes up because members of this community are working hard. And good portion of these community members have family and children but they spend their precious time (whatever reming time they have after work) for the betterment of this coin. Because this coin is not only about "get rich quick" or receiving a decent ROI, this is also about making a better future for our children and grandchildren.

Not sure what's worse, accepting Darkcoin is dependent on Bitcoin or ignoring the extremely low trading volume of Darkcoin.

Last 24 hours:

Bitcoin - $15 million
Litecoin - $2.3 million
Dogecoin - $18 million
Peercoin - $100,000

Darkcoin... $30,000

Fuck the price, that can go up or down easily. Low trading volume is the real worry. Means no one wants it/is using it

Fair point, but this is the lowest volume trading day, so yeah.... Bear in mind that in comparison to most coins DRK only needs low volume to sustain price. Try 30k USD volume for litecoin, peercoin, they would shed a good portion of their price instantly. So which ever way you look at it, it shows Darkcoin is very strong. Although some more volume could not hurt indeed.

On a different note I think you fail to see the upcoming flood in de buybook

No, it means no one is buying or selling it. Has nothing to do with use in terms of transactions from one party to another.

I think there are a lot more person to person trades going on outside of buying/selling on exchanges. You could interpret low trading volume a couple of different ways to back up any point you want to make. I just don't think it has anything to do with people not wantin to buy it or use it. I think a lot of people who own dark want to hold it. The alt market as a whole is being hammered right now and dark is handling it better than most alts. When BTC rebounds the alt market will follow, I'm not concerned in the least about it. I mean after mintpal who wants to trust exchanges with large sums of coins again. I think most people are siting back waiting to see what's going to happen.

I guess you got this numbers on coinmarketcap.com
For DOGE http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/#BTC there is no $18mil volume, that's an error on coinmarketcap.com side. It's 57,292 DOGE volume on https://anxpro.com/ , not BTC Smiley

The LTC volume numbers are a bit baffling. Who the hell is buying LTC, let alone that much?  Huh

It's the same volume being switched back and forth on exchanges.

Correct, to ensure the ASIC manufacturers don't get left with a lot of expensive paperweights.

12 months or so ago, when I joined crypto, something didn't feel right.  We had all these people mining Crypto currencies but hardly any people using them.  Deep down inside I always felt this consolidation was around the corner.

Now I'm getting the same feeling with LTC.  We've got all this "volume" but who seriously is excited about LTC anymore?  Who actually uses it to buy something?  Is anyone other than people trying to get ROI on their ASIC purchases actually mining it anymore?

Whilst a few years ago Litecoin served a purpose, I think now with all the competition in the market it's generally accepted you can't change 1 line of code and come up with a new coin anymore...

Is the first mover advantage enough to ensure LTC survives?  I don't think so, there is no clear reason for people to use LTC over BTC...

Let's see how long this post lasts before it get's deleted by our LTC loving mods?

This is why I rarely leave the Dark topics, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=842782.0.

I'm not sure who this Spoetnik character is, but he's on a warpath and if what he's doing is honourable, he's got my support.

Something just doesn't look right about this chart.  Looks like price is being worked down, for as cheap as possible, then held...

Makes me want to obtain a lot of fiat, wait until the order book is filled with walls and manipulation, then just smash through all of them with an order to end all orders... Just to teach people a lesson.

Ugh... It's such an insult to our intelligence...

The more I see stuff like this the more I like the sound of LocalDarkCoins, to operate in a similar fashion to LocalBitCoins.

I am so with you
it is so frustrating being on the exchanges
trying to buy
and all you are doing is fighting Fuxxing Bots, pushing 0.0001 here and pulling 0.001 there
sucks !

we are only 2 MN's away of running 1100 active MN's ... and by the way i can fully recommend using Flare's trustless Masternode Hosting Service :

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/service-masternode-hosting-service.2648/

quote :

''Running a trustless masternode hosting service for people who don't want to mess around with VPS providers, Linux configurations, daemon updates and such.
Costs are 5.25 DRK per node and month* including hosting, maintenance, bandwidth and updates.
If you want to join PM me or email holger@masternodehosting.com

 Holger

* price will be adjusted to DRKUSD price, so it will be equal to ~$9 per node and month''

Don't sweat it. Last drk withdraw I let sit for 12 hours, then opened a ticket, then got the withdrawal within an hour.
