McHammer, did you forgot you sold your DRK ? After your out no more need for a dump. People learned over the last month that thera are only scammers in crypto world. Drk has proven over hard months its much much more than any other coin. With downtrend crypto markets in 2014 we know now that there is no place for shitcoins. As long as BTC cant grow there will be no fresh money and only the existing will switch to others and most of them will die, but DRK will grow. If new money comes to the crypto market DRK will expolde. Only thing is that US goverment wont let crypto rise. |

After this run, a new generation of bagholders will be created. Don't get me wrong, i love DRK, but what is with this sudden rush ? Please don't tell me that it happened because of the technology, because everything that happened in the past with the price can contradict your arguments. To me it looks like some people found about drk from all of these TV channels, rushed in to participate at a "second btc train story", not knowing that in the end they will get crushed by all of these whales that made over 30-40% in profit (or maybe even more in the near future).
Also, there's another problem with DRK in a sense that everyone thinks that it will be the greatest thing that happened to the dark markets. Dark markets are being shut down not because of BTC's semi-anon technology, but because they are still requiring trust. If you are trading real objects ( drugs, hdd's etc) and not virtual ones, then you will have to specify an address for delivery (duh!). Guess how easy it is for FEDS to participate in these markets, posing as drug dealers or anything else (duh!). Show me a story where the FBI managed to destroy dark markets because of the BTC's inferior anon protocol.
Although this is the greatest altcoin, my opinion is that it should get a name change and start being marketed as a currency that has the option for anonymity if necessary and not as "Darkcoin", which links directly to the dark markets. This way it would have more success to the general public. Not to mention that it could get even more traction because of the InstantX technology.
Maybe what i wrote in here didn't make any sense to some people, but guess what - DRK's price history doesn't make any sense either.

Looks like if we won’t see it in nearest week - we won’t see any dumps in 2014 at all… The only chance of DUMP - maybe when one more exchange steal their client’s Darkcoins… Seriously I don’t see any active whales with ability to dump some serious volumes… 2015 will be the Year of masternodes owners so "Year of Great Darkcoin deflation and high prices"… |

I'm still so amused that Dogecoin is high up there. No offense, but I think they are just doing the dirty work -> begin jovial, tipping everyone and sucking in new people into the crypto space. Once those guys wisen up and learn more though, I don't see why they would choose to stay into doge. agreed. When reality bites, it's a MoFo. |

When reality bites, it's a MoFo. true but i also think we need some of these alts because they bring different people into crypto that drk may not be able to reach. kinda like that "get milk" promo. first step is bring new people into crypto by finding a coin that will be suitable for them,some want to have low risk crypto investment buy btc, some want lots of coins cheap so they buy doge or they dont have much $$ and want in, some want privacy they buy drk. once they are in they can learn about about alts and which alt is best for them. point is each coin has its own audience/target market and the good ones do a good job for crypto promotions but once people are in they always move about and most end up on the drk side :-) |
