Anybody having issues with p2p pools? Out node finds blocks but the payouts are terrible or sometimes we get blocks that don't show up in the chain, like this- http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/0000000000027ade77e23bb76eacbd225ada0621c013643252cd07193234d27e

The node I'm using is http://p2drk.mupool.com/static/

Any reason why p2p is suffering?

They are on the wrong wallet version and though on the wrong chain.
Pick a pool here http://p2pools.org/drk
Take one of those with the highest global hashrate reported, the others are all on wrong chains, beacuse they didn't update their wallets.

I did email the owners to inform them, it looks like they have updated to the correct protocol version though.

I would have joined another pool, but they are the only ones who allow access over port 80, something my miners need.

Damn darkcoin Masternode CoinJoin 2.0.

Why is DarkCoin still alive? Their are already faster and better anonymizing currencies.

http://www.coinjoinsudoku.com/advisory/

DarkCoin doesn't enable anonymity, it just convinces investors that it does.

If you want privacy use something else.

No one has ever sourced a darksend transaction. It's been publicly audited by a security expert, ironically it's the same one who you link to.

http://blog.anonymousbitcoinbook.com/2014/08/visualizing-one-round-of-darkcoins-darksend/
http://blog.anonymousbitcoinbook.com/2014/09/darksend-paper-version-2/

PS. The audit came back clean, we've fixed nearly everything mentioned.

"Since much of the design of Darksend+ can inform other CoinJoin implementations, I hope that this paper will not only shed light on the current state of Darksend+, but provide insight into how to analyze future CoinJoin implementations in general."

No one has publicly sourced a transaction, no. But any gov't agency could easily retrace the steps of a coinjoin based mixer, masternodes or not.

If you want untraceable, it absolutely cannot be a descendant of coinjoin, period.

For anyone that says otherwise, just remember that your DRK spending is all on a ledger that will stay with you for the rest of your LIFE.

No. Darksend keeps the anonymity OFF CHAIN, no future computing power will break its anonymization. Whereas if you put the anonymity ON CHAIN, i.e. use cryptography to encrypt the mixing a math breakthrough or quantum computer or bug in the encryption or an oversight in the code will deanonymize your WHOLE CHAIN.

Correctly implemented coinjoin with off chain mixing is the best way to implement realtime scalable and usable anonymity, period. Just ask AnonyMint. Smiley

Just bumping this because there must be a lot of FUD out there if people are so misinformed about DarkSend+  It isn't only the best way to implement anonymity at the moment, but it is the ONLY future proof way to do it.  The facts are facts and no Quantum Computer will be able to shine any more light on the facts in the future.  It's simple, it's elegant it's perfect.  The only thing that could make it better is if we had so many people using Darkcoin in the future that we could mix with 5, 8, 25 people at each mix.  Could you imagine?  It would be amazing, and may happen yet.  Evan is so amazingly fast, I don't see why Darkcoin couldn't be the cash of the world in the future! Why not?

Well, considering there hasn't been a bump in protocol since Onyx (10.15.13), that's not saying much. They need to be on version 10.15.19 or higher (be it 19, 20, or 21).

Has anyone tried the -wallet=filename.dat argument to see if you can use one data folder with the blockchain. That way you can still use -conf=filename.conf for each masternode and name your masternode wallets. Then it's just a matter of a shortcut to represent each masternode.

Yeah you totally can. Just point it to the config file and wallet.dat while using the same data directory.

Nice. This seems like a great way to keep wallets organised too, by calling each one something which identifies it.

Are there gonna be problems if multiple wallets are being run at the same time with the same data folder and trying to write to the same blockchain file?

Save yourself the time, it doesn't work. I tried numerous variations and no dice. The best way is multiple data folders until the combined masternode wallets are more heavily tested.

I think there is no -wallet argument in 0.10.15.21..

Is that what you are basically doing?

Yes inbound traffic on port 80 gets forwarded inside my network to 7903 on the p2pool node... so you should be able to connect to 80 and my end translates it for you.

The fastest would be weselldark.com but it certainly isn't the cheapest (often times in excess of 20% markup). Most holding crypto won't sell them for PP without some sort of large markup to justify the risks associated from scammers.
