Can anyone help?  I updated darkcoind for my masternodes both remotely and locally.  I started it as I always do, with darkcoind -daemon on the server and ./darkcoind -masternodeaddr=54.ipaddress:9999 -daemon, ./darkcoind walletpassphrase, ./darkcoind masternode start

The local works and says masternode started remotely, plus if I do ./darkcoind masternode list, I see my server's IP address.

But the remote, after waiting over half an hour, says not capable masternode

What's  up?

are you using v10.16.6 ? (https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v10-16-onyx-v2.2982/page-5)

edit : in case you are using v10.16.6 maybe its best to ask in that forum as a lot of activity is still going on in there)

Game Changer!

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/isis-declares-new-currency-will-be-circulated-in-its-bid-to-establish-caliphate-across-syria-and-iraq-9859752.html

"Isis has officially announced plans to introduce an anonymous cryptocurrency called DarkCoin in areas of Syria and Iraq under its control, in what it described as a move to “emancipate itself from the satanic global economic system.”

"Ibn Battuta, the Director of Social Media for the Islamic State explains:  "We examined the open source code and found it exceptionally elegant, even poetic.  We will be distributing cell phones loaded with DarkCoin over the next several weeks.  We will no longer be dependent on the false currencies of the West."

Ahaha, for just a moment... Grin

First time I've ever thought of leaving DRK.

p2pool nodes operators, don't update.

latest git update of daemon breaks p2pool server.
At least did with my 2 servers.
Thanks to share!

EDIT:
Seems to be OK now. Did again clone from git right now, and now it seems to be playing well with p2pool-drk code.

It did not work before ;-/  Huh

But now, it's ok.

Join p2pool mining and support decentralization.

Not funny at all. People do not necessarily click on a link to see / get the "joke". I'd also recommend all NOT to quote that image.

Yep. Not even remotely funny; it's actually a post that could completely ruin DRK. If some journalist somewhere got hold of this and did zero fact-checking (which is pretty common these days) DRK's name and this whole community could be tarnished with a supposed ISIS link that would likely be unrecoverable. I know everyone runs with the "no media coverage is bad media coverage" mantra but in this case I think it would be disastrous.

Agreed. Not only because I do agree indeed, but also because I want as many posts as possible in between a current discussion and the "joke".

I am against all sort of censorship but this is the first time that I would, were I a moderator, think about removing these images. It amounts to a libelous action. But, no need to create a problem out of a poorly conceived "joke".

Onward.

Not funny at all. People do not necessarily click on a link to see / get the "joke". I'd also recommend all NOT to quote that image.

I almost posted the same link, but without the "funny" twist. The pertinent quote from the article is; "Bakr al-Baghdadi instructed his followers to mint the coins to "change the tyrannical monetary system" modelled on Western economies that "enslaved Muslims.""

Assuming even 1/10 of what we hear about Bakr al-Baghdadi is true, I have no trouble designating him as evil. (However any one who has been a victim of a gov. smear campaign (as I have) learns that things are not always as they appear, and evil is rarely restricted to one side of a conflict.) On the other hand many evil people have been provoked to greater evil by the injustices they see around them. In addition, evil and intelligence are not mutually exclusive. What ever else BaB is, he is no fool, and has correctly identified the head of the beast.

Assad, who was set up by the banksters has been very successful in playing the west, to preserve his power-base and inflict damage on his greatest threat which is IS. Do not think that DRK will be able to avoid getting the same treatment as IS (Which is indeed an evil empire) at the hands of the banksters and their crony states, whether or not smart evil men start to use it. (Which they certainly will.)

As has been stated already, if your security methods are not strong enough to be used by terrorists and pedophiles, they are not strong enough. In spite of its name DRK is an agent of light, driven into the shadows by grasping powers who will use any excuse to extend their reach. To use a metaphor, it is the cloak of Lothlorian used to hide from the eye of Mordor.

We now return you to your regularly broadcast forum...

Je le hibou, suis ↄash; because while the days are evil good must hurry, lest evil parading as an agent of light restrict its activity.

as at 20:46 GMT my daemon on 16.6 is only showing 120 MNs.
"masternode list" from within my 16.6 wallet is only showing 40.
