but its dropping fast now.

I've thought about doing this now and again but I think I worked out that I'd earn less that 2DRK a year basically!   (assuming a hashrate of around 300/400KH/s on my vps).

If you costs you nothing and doesn't interfere with anything, why not.  It's still a few extra Drk's in your pocket.

Yeah, good point. I suppose 2 DRKs a year seems like chicken feed at the moment... but I might see it differently in a few years time if each DRK is worth £1000 or something!

Ether is Ethereum's operation. Ethercoin is a promise by a group of investors to give you 1 ether per ethercoin once ether is actually released.
