Since you are now running and paying a 24/7 linux server on Vultr, where there are no limitations on CPU usage, you should also use it for darkcoin mining... I suggest you read this nice guide, put together by TantaStefana. Hello! Is it safe to run minerd on my vps? What port will it use? How many DRK should I expect to mine? I would say it is useless - you'll get peanuts but do not know how much exactly

(assuming a hashrate of around 300/400KH/s on my vps). Walter

i have some bad news, i just decoded the message and it says something about Earth getting destroyed to make room for some galactic highway it says to visit your local planoffice for more info ? anyone knows where it is ? Good thing I have my towel handy.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

I suppose 2 DRKs a year seems like chicken feed at the moment... but I might see it differently in a few years time if each DRK is worth £1000 or something!

What? The Ethercoin developers–who are in no way affiliated with the official Ethereum project—have set aside 1,000,000 of their future ethers to distribute to ethercoin holders at a 1:1 ratio. Customers can purchase ethercoins at a price of 1,000 ETC for 1 bitcoin. Say what now?? I always thought ethercoin was Ethereum's token... so is this a total scam oepration?

Ether is Ethereum's operation. Ethercoin is a promise by a group of investors to give you 1 ether per ethercoin once ether is actually released.

AFAICT they are selling a useless vapourware 'asset' for a useless PAYG platform that doesn't exist yet. It is sure to be a big hit.

That has got to be the (potentially) biggest p&d I've ever seen in crypto It doesn't make any sense...4 BTC worth of trades on bittrex at ridiculous valuations, but the coins are still being offered for sale for 1 BTC to 1000 ethercoins on the original thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=798031.100

What is that? i think its artificial intelligence trying to communicate to us .. we should try to communicate back to it. edit : oh my.. it could be red 0 green 1, which makes it : 10101001101101110 i have some bad news, i just decoded the message and it says something about Earth getting destroyed to make room for some galactic highway it says to visit your local planoffice for more info ? anyone knows where it is ? Can confirm. Skynet has awoken and joined forces with the Vogons. Earth is toast unless we send the Skynet shutdown signal and Vogon poetic appreciation code, both of which, coincidentally, are 42 tall green candles in a row. Haha Brilliant
