I fired up my wallet and started solomining, "setgenerate true 4" on a 8 core cpu, and set the priority to low using task manager. I can't even notice it's mining, and I'm hitting blocks every hour.

I think Animecoin was a good idea at the time, but the market has been so overloaded with Alts now that it doesn't really have a chance.

Indeed, the Animecoin idea is great, and I do believe it still has great potential, but you are correct to say that the avalanche of cryptocurrencies (plus the awful bear market) have made things much harder.
