Sorry I dont have time for research anymore. Some questions:

- Is Ether supposed to be a [network] token (like Ripples) or a real cryptocurrency aka coin (like Bitcoin)?

- Is Ethereum multi currency capable or does the network/system/code only support one currency? Ether? Do they have something like NXT people call: Monetary System? (See: http://nxt.org/about/monetary-system/)

- How are these shares of the Ethereum Coperation in Switzerland called that were sold some months/weeks ago? (Is the sale still open? Do theses share pay dividends?)

- What's the purpose of this Ethereum Coperation in Switzerland? Is this an for-profit operation?

- Will there be an meaningful & influential Ethereum Foundation?
Any other answers now, besides "Ask at Ethereum board"?

[I know the company share sale is over. But I am still interested in all informations or links, about these shares, "the IPO" they did and the general company (structure, organization), business model & funding (model)]

When will Ether be available on exchanges?

"In two weeks"TM plus two weeks.

Is that an Interstellar two weeks? What does that equate to in earth years™

Odd decentralized applications that nobody understands? HURRY!

BMB! What are you doing here? Get back into your cage!

I'm interested in Ethereum. I wouldn't know Turing complete scrypting or whatever if it hit me with a hammer. But this could be the blockchain we use for everything we could use Bitcoin for but probably shouldn't; DAO's, smart contracts, data storage, or whathaveyou.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

I agree. There is something very right about Ethereum. Bitcoin has a hard enough time as it is keeping from bloating. And if the Ethereum people do this right it will not be exposed to much of the volatility that Bitcoin must endure. And if they get it wrong, because its main task isn't being a currency, they are, to a larger extent, free to make changes which will make Ethereum work without worrying too much about ether points collapsing in value. Let Bitcoin be the currency of our dreams and let Ethereum be the internet of our dreams.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Nope, they are clever enough to not promise something they can't know.

Instead you can check their progress here: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/milestones
But it also can go backwards when they detect new bugs.

Bought some ethereum in the ICO or whatever it was last year.

With respect how long before I'll be able to sell them? Can I sell them now?
And will we see a wallet before July?

Is this even the main thread on BCT?

Thanks

This is the main thread but there is basically no discussion here. You have to go to their forum. https://forum.ethereum.org

I'm pretty bullish ethereum, but $1000/ether in 6 months is fucking insane.

The price must be in relation to demand for ethereum services. That should probably keep the price of ethers grounded to a reasonable level. Unless ethers are grossly underpriced in the beginning it will be hard to make 10-100x profit like in some other alts.

I'm not ruling out $1000 per ether, but we're looking at closer to 6 years than 6 months
