About the utterance of the person on the previous page that the ETH Foundation registered in Switzerland and there is valid legislation in terms of the treaties of this country, even in electronic form. Yes.. BUT... who said that DAO has a direct relationship to the ETH Foundation? Have you seen the papers for his creation at all? ) Is a voluntary electronic community of ... EXPERIMENT. And only in view of the fact that many users have lost large sums ETH Foundation decided to help. AGAIN: in DAO code there is a HOLE, she allowed the hacker to bypass the embedded ALGORITHM OPERATION and to seize the funds of MANY USERS. In all situations lubri the court will make a decision in favor of DAO. Code of the programs people write. they are wrong, it happens sometimes. EVERYTHING WILL be fine, do not give in to manipulation. The current price is below 0.02 ETH is already manipulation.
Only IDIOTS (and HACKERS ) will get IN the NETWORK WITHOUT a SOFT-FORK, because in such a network, the price of ETH will tend to 0. 3 500 000 ETH TO GIVE THE HACKER?, DO YOU THINK BRAIN? ))) I assume that active supporters of BTC and LTC, all the calls about how to not make the soft-fork emanate from accounts with a small number of posts..
the official answer from the developers team "ETH" = ": this vector is known from the outset and work with pools"

the dao was built on the eth protocol and eth specifically stated 'the code is the law - and nothing else' - this includes all contracts with no exception. Ether-community is incoonsistent in their arguemtns. They always want it to their advantage and never to their disadvantage of course. But you create logical mistakes all the way. Other coins have survived dumps like this your problem is how overvalued the coin is. Can't absorb the dump without going down significantly. Maybe insiders are selling and they'll break the news to you trailercash later that the hacker in fact will dump because they can't get a consensus to fork. I wouldn't be surprised to hear later that we in fact could be witnessing insider trading on a not-happening-fork right now, who knows? The rats are leaving the boat for some reason.

You now refer to the fact that the code is the law.. first of all, the code was a mistake, because the code has violated the legitimate interests of the user DAO, the second DAO is not equal to ETH. Rather ETH the body and the DAO is easy. And now the output of 3.5 mln ETH in the hands of the hacker is the decentralization and the cancer that they need to get rid of.

I'm not a swiss judge or laywer. You probably neither. So we're both just guessing here. I'd think the code has to be a valid contract because nothing else was ever stated.

Ethereum might have a shiny 1.0 label, yet it’s far from finished. In fact, it barely started on its journey to grow and evolve into Internet 2.0. We are in the pre-cambrian age of Ethereum and Web 3. Fishes don’t even have legs yet.
As for The DAO, the current soft fork is a good (temporary) first step, but only a hard fork will allow for a proper opinion survey as to what should happen next: hard fork and nearly 100% fund recovery, or no fork and likely total loss. Whatever the answer is, it will be final and truly categorical. And yes, parallels with Brexit do come to mind, so vote carefully when the time comes.

Talk about a big fat juicy clearance sale on eth. I know the DAO is influencing the price but I have a feeling people who bought eth on margin *long* are getting margin called creating a domino selling effect. Do you guys or gals have any idea what eth will bottom out at?

Very sad to see what is happening with ETH. The fact that XEM can do smart contracts as well is very crazy...times are nuts. People are pissed that is for sure though man.

tual said in this link https://blog.slock.it/deja-vu-dao-smart-contracts-audit-results-d26bc088e32e#.hxupwh8gtall is checked and found secure best biz for checking did it then why didnt they find the holes ? are such firms responsible if they didnt find such holes ? i sugest the ethereum stays like it is gets bugs fixed but leaves the dao desaster to the courts which will do justice if the attacker was unrightful takeing they will punish if some of the creators are responsible they will make them pay but to involve ethereum as a whole is very wrong on the long run some of you say if they miners do sf its legal but are you sure ? what if they get sued ? and be sure a judge will acept the case couse its a precidenc case. and such a case will take years and put a big burden on a miners pool. doesnt matter if they at the end win or not it will cost energy and money
