If one game is creating such traffic...imagine the scenario when there are thousands of similar games or dapps on the ETH chain.... 

With this issues they can improve the chain. So i think this kind of issues improves the ether. Now they are aware of this issue.

"They" have always been aware of the issue. It's scalability. And we all know scalability solutions have been being worked on for years now!

Thanks for that link, however, I have had a transaction pending on etherdelta for the past 3 days - set gas to 70, still nothing.

Thanks a lot for this website mate, this really is helpful at the current time (not only now, but now more than ever). If I understand correctly, everything under 40 Gwei is currently too low to be processed. 41 Gwei is average, and everything more than 41 Gwei is considered fast and will go through as a normal transaction in one minute or two.

I have another question regarding the under-gased transactions. If I send a transaction with low gwei and it wont go through, how long will my ETH be in this circle of unconfirmed transactions? Will it be returned after a certain number of blocks or will it be stuck there until my transaction is being processed, which could theoretically be never, because of a constant flow of higher gased transactions. Hope someone can answer this to me, thanks!

Ethereum is suddenly up by around $100 in the past two days, rising to its all time high of $518 once again, with the currency currently settled at around $500.One reason for this movement may be what some jokingly call trickle down cryptonomics. So has there been any updates on what they are doing to fix the congestion?  Yes, eth is still way cheaper then btc but the fees are getting ridiculous if you want a transaction to go through in a timely manner.

Something crazy going with ethereum blockchain and etherdelta right now. I just sent withdrawal transaction within etherdelta account, with a help of ethgasstation.info calculations. I should be paid 0.5$ but, but it costs me 1.5$.




It scares me to do operations on etherdelta, it is 1.5$ fee now, for few coins transfer, what may happen if it would be more substantial sum.

ethgasstation.info handles with very approximate data.

This is not an issue as ethgasstation just suggested the gas price for ethereum transaction, where default gas limit is 21k.You did a transaction with a smart contract (etherdelta) which have higher gas limit.
Check your trx hash and find how much gas have been used and multiply the sum with gas price suggested by EGS

checked on ethgasstation and gas limits are climbing day by day

I agree with you, cryptokitties only one thing, how about if more project similar with cryptokitties using ethereum network, maybe the network will more slow. So i hope ethereum devs can solve and looking for a solution

I was make good money on etherdelta flipping and it all went down hill after those f*cking cats! Seriously if there were several of those stupid games how much would it cost to transact then?  How much congestion would we see then?   This has to be fixed. I don't understand how the price was still rising when the issue hadn't been resolved.

I used only 43 gas on just one transaction that failed and I payed $5.  that is ridiculous!  I'm paying minimum 10 times more for every transaction. It adds up when you're depositing, withdrawing, transferring, buying, selling, canceling, etc...over and over everyday.  And ED is looking like a ghost town for certain coins because of all the issues and delays.

I think anything can happen in cryptocurrency and we can't predict accurately. But i am sure one day ethereum have possibility to be bigger than bitcoin, although i don't know when will it happen, that's why i want to keep ethereum coin for long term investment

Take the things in broader view and aspects and you will not be worried at timely appearing issues. Actually we are going through a permanent process of experiments where these issues will appear and will be fixed before going to real mainstream. Vitalik by himself sees the real beginning in next 2.5 years as he sets roadmap for those months.
