There is no solution to Ethereum scalability problems. Consider it to it's way to graveyard.  If a singe blockchain game CryptoKitties can take up to 20% of transaction volume of whole network and slow screw it down, just imagine what will happen after similar games will be launched? If the situation will not stabilize, all of us will switch to NEM, NXT Bitshares or Waves. Vitalik is just enjoying his millions and laughing hard.

i think now eth network is stabilizing now and its gas price is now reducing

now its current low cost gwei gas price is 18 gwei and 22 is medium cost
now those kitties are vanishing from the network
stuck transaction are now confirming slowly
i think in two days eth network will be again normal and on etherdelta we will use again 4 to 5 gwei gas. just little wait more

Not sure if he's laughing hard or working to really find a solution. I'd love to know. Probably you're right that this is a good point to look for the development of these alternatives.

Sentiment: I am strong believer in the technology of Ethereum.
I believe it will surpass Bitcoin in price just as Google smashed Altavista out of the water within a few years.
We are at the ground floor of a major revolution of how businesses trade and society functions.
It is going to open up possibilities and use cases people haven't even considered.
Relax - Ethereum will have its day.. it may be 2018.. maybe 2019 maybe 2020..

So was I until a stupid cat game came along and showed a flaw. It still has not been fixed. Imagine if there were several of those stupid games.  Doesn't look good is all I'm saying and it has to be fixed.

I mean, it's not like EVERYONE didn't know this was an issue, even way before CryptoKitties launched. Scalability has been the #1 problem for blockchain for fucking years now. And I do mean blockchain, meaning Ethereum is by no means the only coin that is facing this problem. Of course it hasn't been "fixed" yet. It's not like some trivial bug that can just be patched. Fuck, we've seen the public war over scalability solutions in the Bitcoin space for over 3 years now.

Does the general public (Ethereum community) not understand the issue? Literally all that is happening is an increase in network usage. When your network can't handle that increase, you get the kind of congestion that we see now. Still though, Ethereum is by far the fastest blockchain (in transactions/sec), and fees are still lower (generally) than say...Bitcoin.

And, as we all know, scalability solutions have been under research and work since before Ethereum even launched. Latest news I saw was we should see Casper/sharding update in ~ a year.

I'm not sure what your point is. If you're not unhappy with Ethereum, what's stopping you from switching to the chains you've mentioned and launch games on it?

Yes, I agree. You would think with so many brilliant minds in crypto now this would have been resolved.

Gas cost and transaction time has dropped significantly. So not sure if it's less people playing that stupid cat game or they are actually fixing the problem. Any update would be appreciated.

(+1) i am agree with you, I have tried with 4 gwei but could't make Transaction.
i will try again in comin' days. I hope Ethereum Network will be normal soon.
