Yes the Ethereum price is rising and a lot of people talnking that ETH will be more than 3k in this year. I think they need to add more security features for Myetherwallet and other wallets, like 2FA and combinations of security setting for users .

I think overall Ethereum is a better chance of increasing dramatically than other currencies. It seems to have more uses and things requiring Eth.
I believe that after the hard fork, Eth will jump back in value. It dropped less than BTC did with the Chinese announcement.

Guys, there are quite a lot smart contract platforms on the market at the moment and new ones are coming. Do you think Ethereum will retain leadership among such a platforms forever? For me, it might be more profitable to invest in lower market cap platforms (Lisk, Qtum EOS, ..) ?

Today i read a very interesting article "Ethereum Users Are Losing Money and Devs Don't Quite Know What to Do"

Fortunately, i was not a Parity wallet user, but very disappointed that Vitalik, Yoichi Hirai and Hudson Jameson, all three of the six prominent team members, rejected all ETH recovery proposals.

As i see it, 16,475 ether just frozen, and could be recovered, but ethereum philosophy is higher that someone`s losses. Typical programmer`s cold mindset.

https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-users-losing-money-devs-dont-quite-know/

I lol'd. You kinda glossed over all the various impacts that would be made and potential effects besides the fact that funds would be recovered. In such an issue, the fact that the coins themselves would be unfrozen is only a small fraction of what needs to be considered before making any changes.

More like "logical mindset". It's good to have an opinion, but unless you're in the position of a subject matter expert in the code, I'd leave such decisions to those who are  Tongue

disclosure: I'm an investor in a couple projects that still have funds frozen from this Parity issue.

You're making the assumption those lower market cap platforms will see the same kind of attention Ethereum has, and increase in adoption/usage/value at a greater rate than Ethereum (otherwise, it would be by definition, less profitable)....it's a bold assumption Smiley

There is a big chance of it happening, just relax and hold because ETH is really a great project and it will be big in the future.
With the increasing project who are using the ETH platform, this will only make ETH stronger and even if one day the price will dump, I would not
panic but instead I am very much willing to buy.

I think its highly probable that ETH will overtake BTC's market cap and once it does i would be extremely happy.

yes this is highly possible i have heard the news that in the end of 2018 eth could cross BTC
but right now BTC is base currency of crypto so its only could happen
and also remember that BTC all time high value was above 19000$
and maybe in the very end of 2018 BTC will cross its All time high value
all i can say that eth is working good and its future is bright ahead

Now the team of ethereum headed by Vitalik Buterin is working on the transition from POW to POS. This is a great solution! It's foolish to burn electricity into the void ... for the safe operation of the network. I await this moment and passive earnings.

Do not you think that POS to some extent will contribute to the centralization of the network? The largest players will essentially control the transaction confirmation

This dream will never come true without BTC cryptospace is nothing if you think this will happen than everything will crash. BTC is great project has comparison with that project soon smart contract is going live than you will say something other.

The ethereum network is already centralized in a certain sense. One Vitalik Buterin is worth it. Undoubtedly, changing the algorithm can aggravate this situation and increase the power of large holders. I meant that the direction from using video cards to a simple online wallet is the right way. Electricity can be directed at more useful purposes)

I also sincerely believe it! There are already so many large and small projects working in cooperation with ethereum that the prospects are simply amazing. A year ago there was a moment that the ethereum came very close to capitalizing on bitcoin. At some point he will overtake the grandfather of the crypto currency)

It is being expected seeing the usage of the tokens on Ethereum blockchain that this year will belong to it. The usage f Ethereum is just keep expending everyday and its strength was also felt and seen during last few days highly bearish market. All these give very positive signals for rest of the year.

Ethereum is behaving in a very similar way to Bitcoin, with a nearly identical technical outlook.

ETH/USD set its relative lows at $563.3071, now the main support and with a bit more margin, the operative stop. Above, the main resistance is located

at $795.90, if broken would open the doors for a bullish move up to $940 as its first target.
