Hahaha!

Good for you!  I'm happy you've found a home!

Now, if you could just spend a little more time discussing specifics with pw, and a little less time attempting to belittle your fellow miners we'd all get along! I mean, if pw knows all these vasriables, do you really think he needs to hear about your irrelevant take on the human condition and why you are above it?

And BTW, your "prediction" was based on a flawed analogy. We'll see if your supreme intelligence can determine why a rolling window is incomparable to events with marked end points.

Was it not you who originally attacked me in a passive aggressive manner by labeling my contributions as "humorous ramblings".  And you are doing it yet again, by throwing around terms such as "supreme intelligence" in a sarcastic manner.

We are all flawed -- you, me, poolwaffle -- as presumably we are all human.  And it is only your assumption that I believe myself to be above it.  I simply choose to recognize and address such perception issues head on, and adapt as necessary.

There is no benefit to me in sharing my viewpoint on why rolling window data sets are a superior measure.  That poolwaffle had originally chosen it as well indicates to me that he also understands the reason, so I don't really feel a need to address it.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Welll...

Im being mining on MiddleCoin for sometime now, but the instability on the servers is killing my profit.

I may give a shot on this pool... I currently have a mini-farm of Systems...
My question is...

Is any advantage of Waffer to Middle?
If so, are the payments made in the same way?

What about support? I hate the lack of information of H20...

Best Regards,

LPC

I've been over at muddlecoin too, and found myself coming here because the working details provided by poolwaffle demonstrate that he is likely considerably more methodical in his approach than h2o.  h20 thinks he is hiding what is going on beneath the surface, but it always plainly evident what coins are in play based upon miner diff reports, so his execution just seems sloppy to me.  I believe there is tremendous potential here at wafflepool, and it should not take very long at all until we know with certainty.

Here is a very useful tip for your multiple mining rigs if they have varying levels of hashpower.  Waffle, unlike muddle, can provide different vardiff values to different mining rigs by adding an underscore and a unique worker name to the end of your bitcoin address.  Refer to the faq for full details.  As such, your rejection rates will likely be much lower here, provided the server infrastructure is able to keep up with the client load.  (Which I do believe poolwaffle will effectively stay ahead of.)

Noted, I'll see what I can do with the visual separation (agreed it looks a bit odd).  And putting the chart in this way definitely shows the variance in luck
(everywhere from really strong days (11/13), slight strong days (3-7), and weak days (1/10/12).

It just hit me what seems odd about the chart labels... 1 Days, 2 Days, X Days, really only seems appropriate to running data, whereas Day 1, Day 2, Day X may make more sense for 24 hour data.  Perhaps the clearest solution is two separate charts?

Is it not also that the day numbering is backwards?  i.e. what is currently labeled "14 Days" should actually be called "Day 1" and then count up from there to the current day?

poolwaffle,

As you are considering charts and statistics, I would like to point out that the "BTC / 1MH" headers are not technically correct.

The stated values are actually BTC per 86400MH or more understandably BTC/Day @ 1MH/s.

But we could if you like coin a brand new term for it -- that is, if it does not already exist.  Let's call it a "Mega Hash Day" or MHD for short.

1 MHD = 86400 MH, which is exactly how many MH you get if you consistently mine at 1 MH/s for 24 hours.  While I am it, I also call dibs on MHH, MHW, MHM, MHY for Hour, Week, Month, and Year, respectively.  So I would be perfectly happy to see "BTC / MHD" up there in the chart headers if you like the term too...

LoL  Grin About a hour ago BTC / 1 MH (24 hr) for day 13 was negative!
It definitely needs to be not dynamic, but static constant value for every past day ("midnight to midnight", as others called it on previous page). For people to see exact numbers how pool worked before, how luck influenced it, and to know what they can expect in the future.

And, poolwaffle, you have my thanks for the hard work! My 7 Mh were pointed at your pool since the very beginning of public beta, and since then the pool has proven itself to be transparent, quickly developing, profitable and stable. And, comparing to others (middlecoin, trademybit, hashcows) - very-very little reject rate, about 0.5-0.7 percent, regardless of the fact that server is in New York (if I remember right) and I'm in Russia, Krasnoyarsk - at the opposite side of the Earth, actually! Again, big thanks. Please, continue what you're doing.

Is the pool down?, i cant connect.

I've been having intermittent connection problems too.

Strangely, though I have several rigs on one LAN, right now all but one are connected and staying connected fine. The other one disconnected
and now won't reconnect.

I saw this intermittently yesterday too.

Looks like a few server issues to iron out.

Same issue -- my other rigs are still connected but new connection attempts fail. Been trying for the last couple of hours with the same result. Why does this keep happening? Is this going to be a regular thing?

I've been mining there for half a day. I am not too happy with the results so far, but I will stick to wafflepool for a few days.

I would really love to see the operator making a little more advertising. 600 MHash is still a very low hash rate. What about lowering the fees for a few days to 0%? This pool has huge potential, but it just needs to attract some more miners.

I dont think the 1% fee is the problem, i think the main thing is that he dosnt advertise enough.

I fell over the name in post about it by chance, on reddit, under /r/dogecoin

And that was about multi pools, so middlecoin, hashbros, poolwarz and multipool was also mentioned in it.

Also the problems with connection the last two days, dosnt really help either. The overall hashrate has bin dropping because of that.

I think we need some promotion of some sort, on forums etc.

Just like a couple of days ago, people can't connect and it would appear the switcher has locked up on mincoin all night.
