No confirmation mail, no password reset mail. The server has a mail problem, could you please check that?
(No, it's NOT a spam folder problem! My (postfix) server receives no mail from betarigs it could sort out as spam!)

Yeah, no confirmation for me either (gmail) - will try registering a new account.

Email worked for me (gmail), but went to spam folder.  I'm really liking this service.  My rig rented out in less than an hour.

Lots of room for improvements and I see this service really taking off.  Some ideas:

Would really like to see the average spot price in btc/mh/day at which people have rented in the last 1h/8h/24h period.  Trending analysis can tell the buyer whether they should rent at a particular rig or not.

For rig owners: dynamic rates that follow the spot price +- a certain % with a floor price.

For rig owners: reputation system so buyers know the best rig operators for uptime, promised vs. real hash rates, etc.

For buyers: Mass buy option to purchase blocks of X Mhash, and this gets split up amongst X rigs.

Mux, you have created something great here.  Hats off.  I truly wish you the best of success with this project.  Is it your full time job?  If not, would you like it to be?

UPDATES

First sorry to not answer individually to all the PMs and IRC requests I have -- I answer the most pressing and then I improve the service  Cheesy

So now we have:

I'm really tired, but I'm really happy  Grin

Edit: For those of you with emails problems, a quick database lookup show me ppl are confirming by mail, whatever the mail domain... but some indeed are not (~20%)... so I would say for now, try to create another account. I'll handle that as priorities come.
Excellent, just logged in and it's super helpful to see my list of rigs all in one place.    This is the exciting part of a new service launch, watching the new features fly into production.   Congrats to you on your product launch and I look forward to the next updates.

Mux is doing a great job at fixing things up and rolling in new features. I tip my hat to you sir. Truly excellent what you have achieved in less than 48 hours.

My first rig rentals went smoothly with only a few issues with the "worker not authorized" error which is now fixed! Cheesy

Anybody that rents one of my rigs. You can contact me on skype directly for support/contact @ "aspiremining"

Mux,

You are doing a great job.  Keep the features coming and the service honest and you will have a winner.  I know you have a lot on your plate right now and you should focus on stability and payouts, but I can't help but come up with little things I think would make it better.

1- Ability to set price in BTC/MH/DAY, because that's what matters to buyers.

2- Ability to have more than one rig linked to same BTC address

3- Ability to a renter to queue their buy for immediately after the current rental expires.

4- Long-term discounts.  As a rig operator, if a customer is willing to commit to a longer period, I would give them a rebate as this decreases uncertainty for me.

5- Cgminer reports JSON errors when rig not rented.

6- Upload rig pics

7- Operator contact info (email, IM, etc)

Keep up the good work, looking forward to my payout tonight.  Funny to see the greedy operators though... 0.03 btc/mh/day and higher... lol!

Seconded, the rate of improvement is quite remarkable. Love the new "My Rigs" page! Can't wait to see what's next.

Funny: Both emails (confirmation + password reset) arrived a moment ago, together. (Confirmation mail is ~10 hours late, password reset mail about 3 hours)
Did you change anything on the server?

Thanks for all the kind words  Grin

So I think I managed to fix the mail problem!

I switched to another provider; you should all have gotten emails that were blocked.
And hopefully the new mail provider will work fine. But we will see after a few hours...

And yes, that's my half-time time job -- kinda Smiley

Edit: I'll also be processing 4 payment with the wrong amount and refund them... Please be careful when typing numbers and with the fees!!!! If the amount you sent is not exactly the one requested, it will be ignored!
And I'll do another payout in a few hours.

I <3 Betarigs.

Extremely smooth service. Exactly what you want from a rig leasing site.

It would be nice to get a transaction history page with a log, as well as the hours, btc spent, who you've leased, and so on. Just to keep track.

I rented out my rig 12 hours ago, for 12 hours, but the status says, "rented - available in 1 hour".

What has gone wrong?

Loving the service and improvements so far. Already got my 3 rigs rented out for a second cycle. Smiley

To those renting rigs 31,32,33: if you need any support just pm me here and we can work out any issues.

Cheers!

something must have been up with the stratum server, noticed a bunch of rigs got bumped off / reconnected..

Did I miss something?  Betarigs is not using stratum at all, but oldschool http / getwork protocol.  Is there a reason why?  I think this is because mux based his work off of stratum_proxy which exposes http to the miners.

Stratum would be far more efficient with less latency.  In this model that would be important because the pool is proxying for another pool.  If the receiving pool is a coinswitch pool, latency matters big time.  JSON RPC will be faster than http setup/teardown.

I rented out my rig 12 hours ago, for 12 hours, but the status says, "rented - available in 1 hour".

What has gone wrong?

There was a message earlier where mux said he added an hour to all the rentals to makeup for an outage that happened that affected people mining.   Seeing as how this is ultra early adoption of his service I'm impress that I'm going to make it 24 (er 25) hours with only that hiccup.

Ah, that explains it, although my rental started after the outage, so lucky renter has 1 hour free mining.

Reporting user 'thewolf' for renting my rig (#75) but not paying so in effect blocking it for real users. (and I had the best available price at that time...) Undecided

edit: I see he has his own rig up on the site as well: http://www.betarigs.com/rig/59

Just finished my first rental and it worked great!

A few comments from a renters perspective (I didn't go through the whole thread so these may have already come up):

1) nice to have a past transactions page. It took me a while this morning to track down who I rented from and how long I had left.

2) can you set up a failover pool? I would be hesitant to rent an expensive rig for a long period without one.

3) an ability for past renters to comment on the rig they rented (and the ability for the owner to respond).

On that last note, I rented from AspireMining and it went smoothly, with advertised hash rates, etc.

Really excellent for such a new site!

Cheers
