Just an idea Mux, Any chance the site could implement a 5 star system or something so you can see a summary of the rental ratings of each rig on the front page?

Same problem here actually, 24h rent, no connection for the entire duration of rent.
Additionally the rent is over for the last 16 hours and the site still hasn't released my rig yet.
User "tomdif" has rented 2 of my rigs this way.

I feel a little bit disappointed with thier service

"Dear blachta,

Hello!

We did a mistake, we didn't block the payment of the rig owner in time, so the rig owner got paid.
Could you contact him to arrange a refund please?
We are really sorry about that, this is an uncommon mistake we are not doing often! Smiley

Cheers,
Mux

If the site hasn't released your rig it is usually a sign that the rig is not connecting to betarigs (as opposed to the issue being with the renter's pool).

I'm looking for a decent stratum proxy software ... bfgminer as proxy and miner-proxy are no good (problems with cgminer and limitations) ... does anybody knows for a good stratum proxy? I've seen some providers are providing farms of 10, 20, 30 and more Mh/s on BetaRigs, if anybody of those provider is reading this - what kind of stratum proxy software are you using?

If I'm not mistaken - this isn't an essential with betarigs, you can point multiple rigs to the same username/password and it will combine the hashrates.  I have rewarded some long term users not with extra hours, but by increasing their hashrate, and this appears to work.

Im having the same problem, my rig was rented from user "tomdif" for 24 hours,
The renter never used even if i had emailed him. The rent has been over and the service still is showing "Rented - Ends in 1 day".
So i desided to disconnected it from the betarigs pool and still shows "Rented - Ends in 1 day".
I think all the rigs the user "tomdif" have rented have the same problem.

Always rent from those who provide support, so you can get clarity around any issues.

And, hash rates reported by pools and actual hash rates can vary depending on how the pool reports the hash rate (over what amount of time) and what the diff is.

Both claimed support neither replied, While I'm aware of huge variables I have several rentals running under separate workers to the same pool and had been watching for a period of hours, these two were clearly anomalous.

Based on the support ticket resolution it seems the only thing you need to do as a rig owner is ensure the rig is connected during the rental window, you can claim 5gh and provide 5kh (just don't do it often) and you will still get paid leaving the renter to beg for a partial refund.

"According to my logs, the rig has always been connected.
If you believe the rig was misconfigured to give proper hashrate, or that the hashrate was below the declared speed, I invite you to contact the rig owner via the "contact" link available in the history tab of your profile to negociate a partial refund, and to leave an appriopriate feeback on the rental feedback form.
-- We only do full refunds on rig being actually offline, or when the rig has a *recent* history of hashrate below declared speed."

It would work as your stratum server but I'm not sure how and if cudaminer handles failover servers.

edit 2: and now it seems to be all ok again. i hope that lasts

Hi,

I think some users are "flooding" renting offers and cheat.  Angry
I explain: they rent all rigs cheapers than their own but they never pay..

So, during this time, the cheaper rigs disappear from the list and price are increasing artificially.

I had the case several times.
My rig was rented but never paid and during this time, my ring isn't show in the renting list. Cheaters can rent with desired price..

Of course it isn't possible to contact them.

Please can you check it and ban cheater ?

Thanks

regards,

Kraken

It does happen occasionally Kraken, I'm guessing its part of why all the rig rentals shot up to 0.017 just now.

Hi

users can click to "rent" on a rig.

The rig is reserved and is waiting btc payement and one confirmation.

During this time, rig is not available for renting.
Of course, after some minutes, it become available again if betarigs doesn't receive payement.
