1st off, just another +1 for mux for the service Smiley

But -0,02 for mux for taking 2% without warn!  Roll Eyes I received the payment and didnt know what was wrong your post, mux. Obviously im joking here, you have to put your fees so you can have your earnings from this awesome job.

Now, a lot of things I would like to suggest have already been suggested or you have already implemented, but here are some important aspects:
- rating/feedback on rentals (done)
- some sort of msg system between leaser and renter
- some sort of publicity to bring some more renters maybe? I'm guessing that now there's a lot more leasers than renters.
- Possibility to allow "another hour" for some direct compensation between leaser and renter.
- Accept payment in other coins - this is a delicate aspect, but i'm thinking LTC is a must alongside BTC and probably a few others. The question would be how to sort it and also which coins to choose. Also some sort of FIAT payment option would bring in some more casual people with no crypto yet.

There are some more ideas I have in mind, but I guess these would have you coding for the next few days, would you accept them Smiley

Again, congrats on your project and good luck.

On a side note, just letting newcomers know that I have used this service as a leaser and everything went smoothly.

Thanks for your kind words  Grin

Adding another hour to renter is done Smiley
Messaging system would be a good one yes, probably the next non-technical item! But meanwhile I recommand to rig owner to put contact infos on the rig page.
Other coins is heavy work. Before that I would do sha256 and other stuff Smiley
I'll probably be more focused on servers upgrades and scaling up on the next few days!

I have posted BetaRigs.com on the /dogecoin subreddit - http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1wkca1/still_cpu_mining_on_your_laptop_betarigs_rent_and/

Go give it an up-vote as its a fantastic tool to get the BetaRigs name promoted and help bring in some new/casual miners to rent some rigs out Smiley

Yay thanks  Grin Grin

Ok miners, small updates!

Today, we got:
- Possibility for rig owner to give hours to renters!
- Review by renters on rigs!
- Paginations on listing
- A new ticketing system for support (yay)
- And maybe more I forgot Wink
Evening payout is done:

Enjoy the service!

Great service, thanks!  How can we review our rig status (as a renter)?  I don't see that on the site.

Also, one more suggestion - what about a periodic payout for a 7 day rental?  I'd like to do that option, but I'm a little leery about waiting 7 full days to get paid, especially with the fluctuation in the value of BTC.  Maybe pay out 50% after 3.5 days?

You're doing a great job Mux!

Could I please suggest prioritizing the ability for providers to contact renters as well as vice-versa? It's immensely frustrating to see bad pools going up and down like a hooker's knickers, or a peach of a pool like I have right now that has a vardiff implementation sending diff 15K (yes, 15K) work for a diff 8 coin, and not be able to let the renter know. From their end it probably looks like the rig is down or operating at way less than the advertised speed.

Even though it means making less money, I've taken my rigs offline for further rentals until this is implemented as I don't feel comfortable taking renters' money without the ability to communicate serious issues to them.

Contact info in the rig description is perfectly fine, no need for a fancy message system. But, it does leave the problem of how owners contact buyers if they notice a problem.

I don't have interest in paying or being paid in anything other than BTC.

sha256 <- Yes, please.

Thanks for making this, mux.

3 of my rigs are mining backup pools even though they are rented out, is there an issue with the service at the moment?

My leased rig says it's been mining for 10+ mins but isn't mining at all. All pool details are correct.

http://www.betarigs.com/rig/293

Edit: Nope. Nothing. Other miner that just payment confirmed just came on straight away. rig 293 is clearly not working at all. Site seems fine. Problem is with rig. Can I please have lease cancelled and refunded asap. Hasn't mined a single hash.

Site had a hickup a think. You were not able to rent anything, all listed Offline. Now back to normal.

That would explain it. It just came online. Hope I get that time back.

Indeed, I just got my first server crash that lasted ~15mn until I found the issue -- 2 new rigs at the very same millisecond decide to use the same port number  Grin

I'll be fixing that from occuring again tomorrow morning.

Renter UNOE111

I've tried IRC to see if you were on there, but no luck, so I hope that you see this here.

Currently you are renting HashMaster9 and it's mining a difficulty 9 coin. I don't know which pool you're using, but the pool's Vardiff implementation is setting insane work difficulty requirements for a coin with such low difficulty and fast block times:

 [15:12:19] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 4019.481559
 [15:12:22] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 7189.504934
 [15:12:24] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 10296.367546
 [15:12:31] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 2549.084913
 [15:12:36] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 5240.731769

There's just no way without incredible luck that such high work difficulty levels can be met when blocks are taking 5-7 seconds to solve. This is leading to very high reject levels and a low work utility vs hash rate. Please either contact the pool's operators and ask them to fix their Vardiff, or look for a better pool to mine the coin. I hate to see the rental time being wasted like this  Sad

same here... causes 1.6-2.7% rejects....
not much I can do about that. choose better coins, or live with it ;-)

Likewise renter KableKiB on my rig.

Vardiff is far too high meaning no shares are being found before new block restart is requested.  I believe you have changed pool as everything was running fine earlier.

The least the pool could do is set the max work difficulty to 420 <snicker>.

Quick question on extending the rent duration.

Can I extend the rent duration by 30 minutes by putting 0.5 hours in the field or is meant for whole numbers only?

AND...
Let's say a person rents my rig for 3 hours and he puts in an unstable pool.

The rig mined for 2 hours and the pool was down for 1 hour.

Will I be paid for 2 hours or 3 hours?

Thanks
