OFFICIAL NOTICE: Whoever sold 12 CGA for 2500 satoshis is officially banned for life. Banned from mining, buying, selling or even thinking about CGA ever again. I've heard of weak hands before but this takes the cake. On a related note, I'm in the market for a couple thousand more CGA. PM me.
Haha awesome, where is trading going on anyway now? Ima buy some more too if people sell them for that, I even remember some dude who sold 28 CGA's for 2.8 BTC Btw great update! Can't wait for tf2honeybadger's ideas too This was at swisscex. I'm just waiting for poloniex to unfreeze since I don't have an account at swisscex. Should be soon I would think, but then again I don't think it should have been frozen all this time anyway.

Please let us discuss(again) the question about the total number of coins: 10 Billion CGA!? why so much? in my opinion it is not necessary not for all time mining, not for marketing coins. 25 000 000 or 33 333 333
what is the opinion of the community and dev?

I believe "the total number of coins" its not a real problem.
It depends how SOON you approach it. I think CGA's algorithm takes care exactly this. If you increase the hashing power it brakes you down, so the horizon of "billion coins" is moving away.

We've had the discussion before, and whilst I happen to agree with you the general opinion seemed to be to leave well alone. I think it *is* a marketing problem, but tbh, there are many other issues at play. I think the coin market is now in effect saturated* and we need a serious shake-out and die off of many coins if the overall market is to mature. Which and how many will survive and prosper I do not know, perhaps 5-10 in total? * For clarity I mean saturated for the current audience, if it were to grow significantly beyond its current users then clearly it is not.

I agree, that this is marketing, but if there is no any other ideas on marketing let's do though this option. it is clear that we have many other problems, but I think the problem is only one capitalisation coins not millions and billions, all other problems not give solved the first problem.

Here is my reasoning for the max coins: In my journey through the "crypto world" I started to notice a trend in new altcoins (and even old ones like bitcoin and litecoin), the coins will most likely get mined out in the developers (or his childrens) life time. IMO this is being selfish, and does not look good for the future of the coin. What will our children say? It looked to me that these developers were creating there own retirement funds or life insurance, making the coins into another PnD (just at a wider rate). I wanted to get away from that, let the future generations enjoy the act of mining a good coin.

A few people just hopped on www.hasher.ca and found 9 blocks... seemed to have moved on now though. Cheers!

The p2pool on 0x0a was still running on the old wallet, which I understood to be OK since we're not at block 155500 yet. However, it seemed to be already disconnected from the newer wallets; it had been displaying a hash rate of ~60 mH/s, while the new wallet is over 300 mH/s. This has happened before but then it would display the much dreaded error "Safe mode: Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."; this time around there seems to be a split without that error. Not sure how that happened.. Either way, 0x0a has now been updated to 1.3.4.1 and is chugging along nicely. The p2pool sharechain had to be reset with the block time change, so I rewrote some p2pool values; I noticed there was still one p2pool node connected to 0x0a before the switch, so I'll put the new networks.py values on git asap - https://github.com/0x0aNL/p2pool-0x0a/tree/experimental has been updated.
